The paper reports that the Common Council will vote on this $300K expenditure. Don't worry, citizens, we will soon have all kinds of money in the coffers for things like this.

Oh no what if the other one broke! What would we do while it was being repaired? How would we get rid of the leaves on the side of the road?

Please don't tell us this is a priority.

We do NOT have that kind of money in the coffers.

Don't worry, be happy. You know how Bobby loves buying trucks for DPW. But we still have some non-profits left to tax!

Really? That old spendthrift wants to buy a very expensive truck because it "would be very difficult to replace or borrow if something were to happen to the vactor our Department of Public Works has now"?

In other words ... the mayor wants to "pantry stock" very expensive trucks for DPW????

No wonder we are going broke!

Common Council members: we are watching you. Insist on fiscal responsibility. Stand up to the mayor for once in your lives, you feckless cowards!

we could of bought the vactor a few yeas ago when the water and sewer boards had more money in reserve It splits usage between the 3 departmnts. plus selling the old Vactor could apply directly to the purchase lowering the amount that we need to borrow.3 years go the estimated rice of the trade in was 75k lowering the price to 225k. Some can come from reserve because the sewer fund can only spend its reserve on equipment .

NO. No no no. Common Council members WE ARE WATCHING YOU since we cannot trust Bobby or David to be fiscally responsible.

Insist on exposing our City Budget before another dime is spent.

so let me get this straight, we're gonna spend a quarter of a million dollars on a truck mounted vaccum cleaner? is this what i'm seeing? well that certainly makes sense seeing as how that's an item that would get used on a daily basis. just remember folks, common council meetings are the 1st tuesday of every month. seems to me since it's our tax dollars and we are registered voters... we can and should attend these meetings and keep the mayor and the trustees feet to the flames. let's face it we have to put the apathetic approach behind us or we're just gonna get more of the same. spend like their's no tomorrow... someday he'll be right.

Word on the street is that the old Vactor will be there at the next Common Council meeting, and the operator has instructions to suck up all you troublemakers.

So. SUCK UP OR BE SUCKED UP.

Fair warning.

Lots of room on the back for Betty and Jerry Asterix.
Put a light on it. It can double as an ambulance.

What else can we do with $300,000?

Excavator:$150,ooo. Rip down some houses.
City Manager:$55k/yr
Gold Plated foot bridge:$50K.(get 2)

Fire the guy that broke the one we currently own.
Or send one of those bone heads to mechanic school and a welding class.

the last council missed their chance. 100g from the sewer fund, 100g from the water dept reserve, 75g for the trade-in value and finance 25k. 15 years later we get another one.

They've been wanting the VACTOR for some years.
It isn't a new idea.
There was plenty of time for discussion and education.

Why do we need another vector when we've already got one vector don't they have a vector in Herkimer and if the vector in Herkimer doesn't get here can't we just call 9-11 because when you call 9-11 they magically send over here whatever you need and my phone has been ringing off the hook with calls from senior citizens and senior citizens are the only thing that matter and they really can't rake leaves anyway because they are old and live on fixed incomes because they have to live on fixed incomes what vactor not vector what's a vactor oh can't you just put a vacuum cleaner on the back of a snowplow but at any rate I could drone on pointless for a long long long time but anyway I always vote however Bobby wants anyway so I guess there's absolutely no point in anything I say anyway what was the question?

Bobby and Biddy Dumming were not in support of spending money on a ambulance but watch this boys and girls I am sure a vactor is a good idea. Anything to keep Bobby's Boys from having to shovel. No construction company in this state has a vactor, they use shovels, they are cheap, not LF, we are rolling in it. What is the DPW board thinking, Rodney must be hitting it heavy again.
