Can anyone provide some information on Little Elm? I have found several beautiful homes that are for sale and are very cheap. I'm trying to find out if the city is a heavy crime area or why the real estate is so cheap. Any assistance would be great. Thanks.

You need to drive arouns ALL of Little Elm to understand the history. Several large trailer parks are located within the city limits. Parts of the city still don't have munciple water or sewer. Plus, the history of our local town management is very colorful. Lot's of folks in the town council were in cohots with builders and some very good deals were made on cheap homes. In the past several years, a lot of effort was put into changing all that and some good decisions have been made and the city has prospered. But the legacy lives on.

With all that said, I've been here a dozen years or so and will probably never leave. I love the town and the history and also love the water. It's a great "kids" town.
