Well, don't judge other people on grammar...
" I think that you HELPED change my mind as well," would have been a proper sentence for you to write.

I went for 7 months and was out for 1 month trying to catch up on my payments {partial loan}because I was told that I could'nt come back to class until I did. I was Only behind a month 1/2! Any way I come back with the money after 1 month and they had changed the whole curriculum while I was gone. I knew they were but I didn't realize how it would affect me until I came back and was told by the dean that in order for me to complete Lab which was my final class. I would have to go for another whole term because they only offer the class on an hourly basis with Front desk and A&P.
For example the schedule i was on was like
A&P 12wks
Front desk 12wks
Lab 12wks
Then The changed it like
A&P 1st hr, Lab 2nd hr, ect.
Then you know the credits don't transfer and I dont get my money back so they just want me to pay to go to school all over again just to finish Lab! WHAT THE HELL DO I DO?

I went to ATI Health in Miami Gardens, Florida. They claim to be an acredited school and that their Ultasound Program is accredited as well. Well it is NOT.... The ARDMS will not let me sit for my registry exam because I went to a non-accredited school as listed in the web site. Basically, I have to work and get paid for a year in the field, before i can aply for the registry exam... but here is the catch, the insurance companies will not pay the DR Offices and Hospitals for a non-registered tech to do theis sonograms... So after 2 1/2 years in school and $35000.00 down the drain, and not to mention emotional and personal sacrifices, I still have a dead end job, no future, and a crushed dream... ME and about 50 other students from the same campus have joined in a class action law suit, hoping that something will come out of it, but ultimately, Will we be able to work in our field EVER???

Omg I so was thinking the same thing. My ex sunk 14k into automotive technician education and he said the teachers were ok but that, yes, it is a scam. He still owes 10k and it's killing his already crappi credit. He is stuck delivering mrs. Bairds bread forever. I used to feel bad for him. And I used to kind of wince when he said he had been in college, cause we all know ATI isn't a real college. I used to pity him, but after the hell he put me through, he deserved his shitty life he now garners. He is a year older than me and still lives with his mommy.

I'm glad I went to a real school. I got my bachelors in biology and now have a high 5 figure income doing clinical research a major dallas hospital and I just graduated, I'm 22. I don't trust schools to find work for me, I do it myself. I'm only 12k in debt for 4 years, including room, board, tuition, fees, and supplies. I planned my future out and invested 4 years, but it's so much more worth it to spend that long on something worth it, than 2 years on something retarded. Trust me: 4 years seems like a long time, but it is so worth it if you have a plan and get your connections ready before graduating.

Good luck to you all!

And FYI I was NOT born with a silver spoon in my mouth. My family was dirt poor, and I still went to college because I wanted to do something with myself. Now I can help my mom out and still be on my own. I'm very happy.

Well I attend the ATI in Oklahoma City and its full of shit they dont tell you when you sign up to start going to school here that they only have to graduations a year. And they tell you that the classes are small thats a lie we have like almost 30 people in our classes. Our Director of Education Rick Lewis is racist in now way shape form or fashion does he like black people. We have complained and nothing is being done about this. He watches our every move he follows us on breaks, insults our intelligence, and etc..... We get treated like little kids. They dont give us our financial aid money they keep it so that when its time for us to graduate we sign it over to them that is BS something needs to be done to stop this madness. We ask them the number to corporate they wont give it to us. The assume that just because wwe are black that we are welfare receipients and high school drop outs which is not true. The DOE calls the police for every single incident that goes on here and all of that is not called for we pay $16,700 and we dont even learn much. Place us with a teacher that doesnt have any teaching experience that place us with this crash dummy that doesnt even really care about how this is going to affect our future if i would have known that this school was full of BS I would not have even came...

I worked at Ati and resigned as the corruption starts at the top. They treat employees badly and are only focused on how many students they can herd in with no regard to the quality of education. The pressure the admissions reps are under even when start goals are being hit is unreal. Gary Dagampat is the operations VP in the Dallas area and is a crude idiot that leads by threatening staff and sets the stage for a an incredibly hostile work environment. The HR (3 people including the lead puppet Steve Lovig that heads up HR)department covers up for Gary and his hostile work environment. Students at the maple campus in Dallas went for months with out hands on training as they are too greedy to replace welding machines and hvac units needed for hands on lab work. The CEO Arthur Benjamin duly supports his thug vp Gary Dagampat as many employees have complained about the hostile work environment but nothing is done. The COO Carli Strength seems like a nice guy but he also does nothing to change the hostile nature of the work environment. They ate losing good employees and many more are looking to leave as soon as they get another job opportunity. This high employee turn over explains why students get shafted so badly. STAY AWAY as they are EVIL. All they want is your title IV funds (student loan $ from government) and they could care less about the students or middle management downward. This is like organized crime as only friends and family of senior leaderships are treated well and are getting rich from a bad educational poduct. I once heard a regional admissions director say "it feels good to knock someones dick to the dirt" when referring to successfuly pressuring a student to enroll. The aemissions reps are graded on how many start readies ( government loan funded students) they can recruit every week. ATI scams students and treats sub home office employees badly. These people will burn in hell. ATI is a scam.

ATI is the worst School I have ever seen. My teachers were unorganized and sometimes we had to wait 15- 20 minutes or so to get a classroom. Teachers cant teach and mine stayed on the cell phone most of the time and then one day in class my teacher was teaching customer service and then started discriminating against gays. I was furious as I was writing everything she was saying down. I guess she didnt think a homosexual would be in that type of learning venue. She thought wrong. I feel I have been discriminated against and no longer feel safe at that school. A lawsuit will soon follow I can assure you. Please do not go to this school as it will be the big mistake.

My experience with this school has had its highs and lows. I am in the Welding Program.

This school seems to have a pretty high acceptance rate, the worst of society can be found here. With the exception of my class, the rest act like illiterate retards. The classes start out packed with about 30 people, then after several months the class size will be about 10 or less. This is due to most of your class being on probation and going back to jail, or just flat out not caring. Some of the students hardly ever show up then complain they aren't learning anything. The school isn't going to drop these students because that would mean a loss in profits.

When i first started out, the lighting and air conditioning for the classrooms were horrible. After 4 months, they finally started getting it together.

There is a mix of new and stone age welding equipment. I make sure to grab a booth with a good machine asap.

The students around here sure like to steal. They will steal anything they can get their hands on. Welding Helmets, gloves, strikers, books, grinders, hammers, and many more items have been stolen from my classmates. I keep all my gear secure with several locks and chains.

On occasion there will be a fight here. Don't worry, its a blessing in disguise. Those who fight are expelled immediately and can never return. Less trash, IMO.

For the welding program, a lot of expensive gear is provided to you in a toolbox at the start, including jacket and welding helmet.

I have not yet met a teacher in the welding program and that does not care about the students. If you ask for help, you will get it. The school has helped several of my classmates get good paying jobs as welders. The school also set up a interview with 8 students for one company. Only 2 students went and got jobs. The other 6 did not show or even call.

There is one thing that irritates me. When you apply for a grant, ATI gets to be the middleman. You want your grant check? It goes through ATI first. Wonderful. I enjoy walking into the financial aid office each week and hearing a different excuse about the whereabouts of my grant money. A several month wait is not a big deal right? Just be honest and tell me you've cashed my check, ATI.

The bottom line is there is much to be improved on here. This place isn't perfect by any means, but I've learned a lot and I'm confident i will get a job out there in the real world.

Now about that grant check.....

Hey, Ashley:
It's too bad you didn't learn basic English grammar, or even how to spell, at your "real" college.
I guess you can always go back to elementary for that.

I enrolled in a medical assisting class at ATI to start from the bottom and work my way up; make sure I had a backup plan just in case. I later found out ATI is not SACS accredited, meaning I could not transfer those credits to continue my education. I withdrew 10 days into the program and according to financial aid at the school I owe $1,162.00. Originally the class is $15,700- I had around 9k of FASFA money and won a half ride scholarship that ultimately left me owing them $2,202. Has anyone else been scammed like this and gotten out of the situation??

OMG...would you people get real. Half the reason you people dont learn anything is because you dont want to learn anything. You would think that someone who is paying $15,000 to go to school would actually come to school to learn! But no...students come to school to see if they are tougher then the next person and those are the people writing these silly coments. I dont understand why people blame others when something doesnt go their way. Your failing and its someone else's fault, that's silly. What ever happen to taking responsibility for your own actions?? ATI is a great place with alot of successful people that graduate...if it wasnt, do you think they would've stayed opened for 30 years? They got to be doing something right!! So for all you who had a bad experience...suck it up, stuff happens in life...grow up and deal with it. I see alot of cry babies on this page...get real people!

screw off you douch. since you're such a genius you obviously know ATI isn't SACS accredited, meaning colleges/universities don't accept their credits for transfer so thank your "30 yr old great school" for wasting your "$15k" & allowing you to find a legitimate profession :):)

ANENEVA its not about the campus location, its the school itself. Thay seem to think that all the students who apply to their schools are too ignorant, vulgar, ghetto, whatever you want to call it to realize the real image behind this "pretty picture". ATI is basically a gold-digger ".

Oakland Park Florida location...The worst school in the world! The teachers cannot even explain what they are teaching.
DON'T GO! you can learn MORE in youtube or watching DVD's at your home! The teachers have no education or ethics and they talk to you like you are a Moron if you are
If you are FLORIDA go to Sheridan Technical Search it on Google at least they charge way less and you learn more.
i went for 2 months and i have to pay like $3,500 dollars , Are you kidding me! I know they are stealing from our government and other lenders and of course specially from us.
I will be dropping out tomorrow! What a Rip off
