Hey, why don't you all complain some more. I thought this was an informative and useful article. If you do want to occasionally treat yourself to a dinner out somewhere happy hour can be a very cost effective way to do that. Pick a few different appetizers out and share with friends. For those of us that work downtown Minneapolis, happy hour can be a great way to avoid the majority of the rush hour traffic too. Of course please be sure to have a designated driver!

Bars pulled the same strategies during the Great Depression-free/discounted happy hour food. They just raise the prices of the drinks a little at different times to make up the cost. Everything is cyclical.

Here's a thought: Chili's and Applebees have a TWO FOR $20 dinner. You share a big appetizer, you each get an entree (and at Chili's you also share a desert). ALL FOR $20. Now that's a sweet deal.

At Jimmy's Food and Drink in Vadnais Heights. 2 for 1s 3:30-6:30 and 8:30-11:30 on all drinks everyday. Also specials on some apps. Still can't beat two 23 oz. beers for $4.50-$5.00 on a Friday or Saturday night.

McDonalds has the dollar menu. Wendy's has the dollar menu. And, even, yes Burger King has the dollar menu. Why go any where else?

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Capricorn

This is a marvellous day for having a discreet word in someone's ear. You'll be able to choose your words carefully, making you very tactful and considerate, and as a result you will have a helpful conversation. This is also a good opportunity to talk about topics that are very dear to your heart, or which are usually too private to mention.
