what a horrible story.....my guess is the "no snitching rule" is in effect here....too bad the so called "caregivers" of this little child are such low forms of human waste that they wont tell the truth about what happened to Julian. And yes they both know what happened....the only hope for justice for Julian is that the guilt will take over and the childs murderer will save us some time and money and hang themself (selves)....

I remember the original thread on this story when it first happened. It made me sick then, but sicker now because nobody has been convicted yet. What is the hold up? Is law enforcemnt so tied up with more imprtant things like enforcing smoking bans and seat belt violations they cannot handle convicting the skum bags that stole the life of an innocent boy?
Every available officer should be on cases like this. But then again, I am naive and take things like this seriously.

The police department has information that they are not releasing which could be helpful; we should hold off on making negitive judgements. The article stated comments about potty training, financial & nutritional constraints...which there has been no proof that any of these issues have caused additional stress within the family. Yes, this is truly a tragedy and none of us know what happened; we need to pray for the truth and for healing for all those affected by this situation.

I agree with you. The no snitching doctrine that governs these losers lives have never been addressed by the so called television activists in the community. Its better to hide under the cover of no snitching than own up to your actions. How in the h e l l do4es a two year old child deserve a fate like that??

Once again the petty crimes are charged immediately and let the actual charges shake out later. But in a case of an innocent child actually dying, we can just sit around and see what develops? With records like theirs, there should be something they could come up with, a suspected probation violation or anything to put at least one of them in jail pending charges until someone fesses up. Otherwise this will remain and unsolved tragedy.

There is a country song "Sounds like Life to me". So now daily life is an excuse for murder?

Because it is just part of the government bureaucracy. They are not in place to protect children. In fact in way too many cases once they step in to take control the child ends up in worse conditions than before. And you're right, good parents are probably passed over all the time in favor of some who are just in the system good or bad. My biggest fear is that there will be no justice served for this little boys life.

In most cases there is no regard for what reasons prompted a supposed crime. But in a horrendous crime such as this they are actually trying to find reasons to justify this childs' beating? Nothing on this earth will ever justify taking out displaced anger like this on an innocent 2 year old. It demeans all of law enforcement that two who are working on the case are actually trying to reason out that the childs digestive disorder and toilet training issues could have justified such actions. We as a moral society need to demand that the degenerates who hurt this child end up where a true justice system would sentence them. Life in prison with no possibility of parole.

by reading the article, it sounds as though the police have done all they can, including publicly accusing the mother and boyfriend of the death...the responsibility of not charging the suspect and/or suspects rests on the county attorney and its office. If you think law enforcement would rather be enforcing a smoking ban and seatbelt laws over puting a baby killer away forever you are nutz....

It seems racist to criticize these people and their culture. Just because these folks, who are people of color, don't parent as we do in our wealthier enclaves, is no reason for these veiled racist criticisms. Their culture is as valid as ours and it's racist to expect the same behavior of the rich white suburbs.

I don't disagree that no 2 cultures have to have the same expectations OR behavior - but, I'd like to think, that no matter what race or creed you are apart of.....we all expect that murder is unacceptable.

I believe you touched the point that bothered me most. The making excuses for the monsters that pass as adults because of "potty training" or *gasp* maybe even some behavior issues! Maybe if some people waited until they were READY to have children we wouldn't see this as much. Stop breeding like rabbits and treating innocent children like house plants and we might see the light of day.
I am a self emplyed stay home dad of a little girl potty training. I cannot see how that would anger anyone. Trying at times, other times outright funny, but don't let her see you laugh when she pees somewhere, umm, inappropriate, but to see investagators use this as a reason for this? We are in big trouble gang.

Yup, that's real scary stuff. "Publicly" accusing the mom and her latest stud. The phrase "we have done all we can" is a total cop out by those to lazy to persue things further. I have family in law enforcement so don't even get me going.
As far as enforcing the smoking ban and seatbelts being a priority, of course it is. It is instant revenue. Our police departments have become glorified telemarketers gathering funds.
This IS the case, and the number of police in cars doing traffic stops versus the number of investigators persuing real crime tells the story.

We are in big trouble indeed. My daughter got mixed up with a guy who beat her. I was in court yesterday. There were young women there to be sentenced and they brought their little babies with them in the courtroom! The judge had taken the bench and most of these people strolled in late while their public defenders were waiting for them. We are paying for this. Judge Edward Wilson shame on you for letting the guy off who beat my daughter in front of their son.

You have been in my thoughts since I wrote last. Would you be willing to
share the sentencing? Did the judge even say anything? And how is your
daughter and grandson?

God bless Grandma,

Something tells me there is a lot to tell about the situation. I can understand you not wanting to share it here. The tpoix attack dogs are always snarling at the fence. drop a note anytime.
