There are several possibilities for the accident. Perhaps they were run off the road, or an animal got in their way or they were going too fast.

But, there is also the possibility of inexperience. The driver was the youngest one in the vehicle.

At a very low speed, my daughter rolled my car 360 degrees. The car landed on its wheels but crushed the roof.

In a curve, the passenger side wheels went over the edge of the pavement and she over corrected. That flipped the car and even though she was not speeding.

When she did this, she had her license for about a week. Thank God she knew enough to wear her seatbelt.

To this day, though years have passed, in slow motion, she remembers the roll.

My point is this. These three young men may have been doing nothing wrong and it may have just been a terrible accident.

Simply teenagers and autos....they don't mix. We have all been there as a teenage driver. I myself, as a teen once, have tested the physics of friction with 8 cylinders. It is a lesson of life especially for teenage boys. Teenagers need to be aware of the power when they turn the key. It is however very sad situation in this case. Let us pray.

Torey and Derron, God has taken you for a reason in this season. I pray your family will come together and be strong for each other. Derron, Auntie never got to meet you (Barbara, our thoughts and prayers are with you). Torey, I will always treasure the videos of you dancing at Larissa's birthday parties. Hug your mom for us. We love you both and will miss you dearly! May God keep all three of you.

God's Will? Right....This is a sad but common story. Teens even when sober, don't have the skills to handle the speed of a car in good situations, let alone emergencies. Hopefully no drugs or alcohol were involved. When will parents learn, not to buy your kid that car, no matter how much he or she whines, while you claim to love them. Other teens will ride with the ones that do have cars, and they die along with the driver. Of course my thoughts go out to the family, but these type tragedies can be avoided. Don't let your kid drive alone, don't let your kid ride with other kids. It's like giving them a hand grenade and telling them not to pull the pin. So, what's the first thing they will do when out of your site? Pull the pin.

My nephew was a classmate of Naijah's. They had known each other since they were 12. He was a nice kid who never got into trouble. This is a tragedy for all concerned. Please, refrain from making judgements of these three kids or their parents. Let their families grieve in peace. A guilt trip doesn't help anyone.

whether what happened or not was their fault, my prayers go out to their families. it will is hard losing loved ones, especially at a young age. i lost 6 people in my senior class in high school within a year and it was hard. as parents, you just need to be there for your kids at hard times like these

He was still in high school because he was a future rocket scientist.

Actually, that is a good point and I missed it when I read the article.

By law, students in special education can remain until the day of their 22nd b'day. Don't have to remaiin, but are eligible.
