Another "preacher", "priest", member of the clergy accused of misconduct. Whether Mr. Long is guitly or not, will all be proven in court. What's unfortunate is that at the very least Mr. Long seems to have used poor judgement when dealing with the youth of his congregation. Members of the clergy should take a page from Billy Graham's....when asked on 60 minutes to explain how he was never accused of misconduct, he stated "I NEVER spoke to anyone alone. The door was always open and there was always at least one witness. That witness was usually my wife".

I will never believe this.... I have one of his sermons in my cassette player in my car now. This is a quote from one of his sermons, "...give the man credit for knowing where to put the seed...it don't work in the exit". The demons are hard at work.

inocence until proven guilty... I hope this will be a lesson for other pastors not to engage with no one alone... sad but it's true..

Indeed, he is innocent until proven guilty. Since none of you were actually present then you don't really know what happened.

But why is this "headline news" in Memphis? Either WREG has an unusual fascination with sex or they are too lazy to find local news of interest.

Sounds like the powers that be are out to get this man. I've seen this before with other larger than life personalities and wither he is innocent or not,he is done. We live in times where no matter how much good you try and do,all it takes is one lie and all that work goes for nothing. No I don't know the man and probably never will and yet I feel for this man seeing how I myself was lied on and lost a job or two due to misunderstanding of my character. Mr. Long you have to be more careful,we live in a non-god fearing world today and none of the 10 commandments are being taught nor respected. But remember that what is done in the dark, must come to the light. I hope for you and your families sake it is the truth that will prevail. You have the trials of Job on you, stand up and fight my brother.

The reason that this is local news is because he paid airfare for at least 2 of these boys and they flew to Memphis. Why, I don't know. I am not going to say this Pastor is guilty until it's proven in court. I just wanted you to know why it's news in Memphis. I also hope the truth comes out.

Why is it that "church folk" want to believe that their leader who is a human being of flesh,(which the bible clearly states is the corruptible part of man) can't be a person tempted. This is very very possible that this is the truth. We follow man way to easily and want to keep them in power over us.

Wheher he did it or not, there are three young men out there claiming he has used his power and influence to harm them in a sexually manner. So, people lets wait and see what he says tomorrow and what investigation findings show. How many times have we seen hypocrites hurt others, such as gay people, when they are so slf centered and self-righteous. Didnt Mr. Ted Haggert deny any involvement with the male prostitute when the news fisrt came out? Did w forget that he admitted it as fact afterward? Didn't he deny any sexual activity with others besides the male prostitute only after a young male church member told the public Mr. Haggert has seduced him sexually and had sexual activities with him? Let's wait and see. He is after all, not the God Almighty. We pray for the victims (if proven true) and the Pastor (if indeed he is such a hypocrite and had hurt the young men) as well.

Psalm 139-23-24 Says: Look deep into my heart, God, and find out everything I am thinking. don't let me follow ecil ways, but lead me in the way that time has proven true.(CEV)

Proverbs 28:13 " You will never succeed in life if you try to hide your sins. Confess then and give them up: then God will show mercy to you".

I pray that if the young men are lying on Bishop, that God himself will judge them. I also pray that if the Bishop is lying that God will judge him. The Body of Christ should just pray and keep silent because "truth does not have to defend itself". What's done in the dark will be revealed. It's prayer time for real, and I pray the sin is uncovered so healinig can take place.

The Bible says in james 5:16,"Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so God can heal you. When a righteous person prays, great things happen. My words of encouragement to the Body of Christ is to pray, forgive and then heal.
1. Pray for the pastor
2. Pray for the young men
3. Pray for the families that are involved.
4. Pray for the wife and children of the pastor
5. Pray for the father and mothers of the young men
6. Pray for the Body of believers who look to the pastor and not to God for direction. God deliver America in this hour and uncover all sin so deliverance can come to our nation. Take entertainment out of our churches so real worship can take place.

Lot's of things going on in "megachurches" that the ministry and staff try to cover up. Hush money could make this go away in a heartbeat.

Why did these accusations occur only after one of these men was arrested for burglarizing the church? Is he trying to cover himself?

Just because someone gives a good sermon doesn't mean they walk on water.

If these accusations are true, it is an envious thing to see males live much more lavish than females when they have a pimp daddy.

I don't know one female that receives tuition paid, brand new car, jewelry, electronics and money from their pimp daddy. Plus, the males receieve a committment cermony.

I don't think the basketball stars provide that much to a female jumpoff.

Makes you wonder....
