A while back there was a post on here and a blurb in Chapel Hill News and Views about a Del Taco coming to D-ville.

Any word on that?

There is a sign on Hwy 92 that says, Coming Soon Del Taco

The sign is still there but the building on the site appears to be several very small "strip mall" type shops. Has Del Taco changed their mind?

The del taco sign was nothing more than a bait to see who the small strip mall cound get to bite.Del taco is a bankrupted business who had their hayday in the 1980's.Dont look for them to ever return to any city.

Looks like you've got a point - no stores in Georgia. Nearest ones are Florida and South Carolina. The rest are Western US, pretty much. Wow! I think it was a set up! Unbelievable.

Yeah they're still all over the place in CA. Pretty good food too - much better than Taco Bell.
