Well it's about time Jan Brewer lost a few of those rocks in
her head. People who move to an area close to a Airforce base
get what they deserve. Suck it up and shut up. Luke was here
along time before you were and have gone a long way to help
Arizona and the whole United States. Do your research before
complaining and that includes the Mayor of El Mirage. If you
can't stand the heat then get out of the kitchen. MOVE!!!!!

I'm with you Judy, first the developers build there and then people actually buy the houses. Then OMG they have the audacity to complain about the noise. They don't see anything but the house they like and its affordable. They must block out all the noise. It's an AFB and they knew it was there. The sense of entitlement in this country blows my mind.

Maybe some of the readers need to do their research. As a legal and permitted (by the state and county) homeowner since 2004 I have certain rights that precede the AF use of our airspace. Among those is that if my home and property is approved by all of the authorities I can use it and develop it just any other home/landowner. My rights cannot be stolen away without due compensation being paid to me for the loss of my rights. If the government suddently decides to restrict my use or value then they owe me. This is lawful and contitutional. I have never heard of any homeowner within the area of Aux 1 that has complained about noise but we certainly complain about the theft of our rights to live in or on our property. If the govt cannot respeot my rights then dont expect me to respect the opinions of folks that live far out of the restrictions.

Luke was there when the area only had farmland and orange groves. Noise! The F-4 Phanton made a lot more noise than the fighter jets today. Because someone develops an area and takes your money for building on cheaply bought property, doesn't mean the air force or the country owes you anything. Just like they build in areas that are prone to floods. I was stationed at Luke AFB in the early 70's and when Del-Webb built sun city it was the start of the first cry-babies. "We moved here to retire, the planes make a lot of noise, they need to move the base" They need to stop flying over us, whaa, whaa. You can only change flight paths so far. Wow, makes me wonder how I ever slept living between two train tracks a half of mile from each other(Am-track/B&O) as a kid. That town happened to be Aberdeen MD, where Aberdeen Proving ground is located. I guess we could have closed down the base to stop those trains, Naa.
