N.H. Senate panel considering bill to raise gas tax
Repairing New Hampshire's deteriorating roads and bridges must be a priority for lawmakers, according to testimony at a Senate hearing yesterday, but opinions were split over where the money should come from: higher taxes at the pump or proceeds from a long-debated casino.

We don't need more taxes.
What is desperately needed is a objective review of present spending.
Since the 60's Nashua Hillsboro and NH governments have been growing unchecked. The problem is government never sunsets or closes programs or the taxes, fees, surcharges needed to support this bloated mess.
Consider how many American cities are now in Bankruptcy court with some states to join them soon.
The common factor brining those cities to court is spending more than they take in and never cutting old out dated programs.
Rather than raise the gas tax lets have the governor and all state lawmakers, judges pay tolls.
Then lets go through the state budget and close out the waste, duplication overlapping programs.
We take in enough money now we just don't have a clear understanding of how the state waste that money.
Frankly Federal, state, county and city governments take too much money out of the economy now.
Which new tax fee, toll, fine is going to be the one that brakes the taxpayers back????
