ANY ethanol is too much. Too much water and too much electricity used to produce it, and too much of a burden placed on what should be the food supply, not fuel supply.
Ending this privatized system of kickbacks and incentives is in everyone's best interests world wide. Stop making ethanol. Food is not fuel!

Ah, the way of American big business. Don't follow the rules just to make a buck for the stockholders. The environment? Who cares! Just make money.

Hopefully they follow this same rule for oil/gas production. Don't want to saturate the market and lower prices, you know.

"The penalty agreement requires Bushmills Ethanol to submit a proposal for the environmental projects by next October, and to spend at least $175,000 on them. Those projects, which need MPCA approval, can include environmental improvements at the plant or others benefiting the environment. "

Wait a second...a penalty is that they need to spend money on improvements to their own plant? I thought a penalty was supposed to make them suffer, not do the work they should have to begin with?

More extortion in a nutshell. Whom do you think will pay this fine?
