Police Chief Arrested for Child Abuse

Jefferson county sheriff's deputies tell NBC13HD News, the police chief in Lipscomb, Alabama has been arrested on child abuse charges.

I was also wanting to know why a black officer was not chosen to be acting chief for lipscomb. I personally know of at least four with more time under their belts than the white officer the mayor picked. Hey guess what I am white and believe in doing the right thing for the city but just do not believe in choosing someone who is the same race because I can. So who is this guy a preacher or a police officer. Well at least not a man of God in my book, he needs to ask himself who gave him a job when no other department would. HE WAS HIRED BY CHIEF PAYNE. Hey I am white maybe if i get under Mayor Millers desk I can be Chief also.

The whole thing is crazy if you ask me. the miller lady is doing chief Payne wrong...she let all here othere officers that she put on leave with pay...and just because she has stated that she cant stand chief payne..feelings need to be put aside when it comes to a work area..she is the dirty one for treating him like this...she is not doing what is right for the city she didnt consult with any councilman in her decision she made it on her own...there are more officers there whith more time then this new one that she choose for her own selfish reasons. She has done everything out of hate..Chief did not hurt that child, but no one wants to listen to the truth. the truth will all come out in the end and justice will be made right. He loves kids, is a good man to kids, and would never hurt them. and i no for a FACT that he didnt hurt the child.

I am black and i do not see what is wrong with a white person filling the seat maybe he is a better police officer than the rest and as far as getting under a desk maybe you would like to come get under mine

Who more are they going to respect? As far as the first comment i am in aggreeance with. Show me his paperwork stating he went through a reconized ordained chaplian institute. It is one thing to say you are a Chaplian and
another thing to act like one. If you do not pratice what you preach than it is all a lie. Yes a dission was made but was i the right one? Expeirence in that area of town counts here. There is only what 5 officiers, but there are men on that force that where there alot longer than this man. Wheres there ethics in that? One of the senior (meaning Senority) officiers should have been move up as intrium chief not a fithteen month enployee.

The Chief has gotten his job back...it is about time that the right decision was made...he is a good man, and he was done wrong...it is also about time that the city has recieved a great Mayor, and is doing the right thing for all...The Chief will do great things, he is a great man, person, and good for the community...great job chief...u r the best!!!keep up the good work!!!

I've just read the story's of chief payne
and my experiance living in lipscomb was diffrent
and if it wasent for the town offical's even though we do thing wrong some times, dont mean we are bad people. I would have done more damage.
I miss lipscomb but my work was done there and im back in my normal every day desk job.
