Pa. texting ban headed to House floor

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- A bill to bar text messaging while driving in Pennsylvania is headed to the House floor.

How about banning talking on the phone as well. These laws are fine and dandy, but for them to work they need to be enforced and the fines need to be stricter. They have similar laws in other states, but no one obeys them becasue the fines are small and they are rarely enforced.

Just another law that wont be enforced. What a waste of time. The only time it can be enforced is when theres an accident involved. Whats goin to happen when your pulled over for texting. The cop can't take your phone and start searching through it to see if you sent a text. Thats unlawful.

This is UNENFORCEABLE as written. All a violator needs to say is they were dialing a phone number, not texting. We need an enforceable no-texting law!

Needs to be a law for talking on the phone period, I'm tired of the accidents and the stupidity from all these people talking on the cell phone, they obliviously don't have the time to drive and are worse than drunks here's my solution

1st offense: 1 year to talk on your phone without the car

2nd offense: 5 years

3rd Life, your too busy to own a car enjoy your phone.

i agree with the poposed law on texting while driving.recently while driving on king st.i was almost t-boned by a texting driver i'm still here but many people have been killed by such ignorance.this is what happens when people don't use common sense.
