For all you tree huggers out there. Pigs are not native to the South. They destroy vegetation that native animals graze. Besides that, they are very mean and will charge a human in a seconds notice.

Hunting is a necessity in most all states (especially deer, Yes Bambie) because if not they will over produce and starve. By controlling animal populations it actually allows for better breeding. Those who don't believe that can take a class given by your local Fish & Game.

For the idiot who suggested that this kid is going to grow up and possibly start shooting people. It is very rare (if ever) that hunters are responsible for shooting other people. In fact hunters have a great respect for guns. I live in California but grew up in Western Pennsylvania where a lot of my friends and I grew up hunting. After 20 some years of hunting I dont see my friends or myself as gun crazed killing machines.

Although, I do work in law enforcement and have seen numerous people shot. I have never come across a situation where the shooter was a hunter. So become more informed before going off in an emotional tirade.

Unless you people are a total vegans, you all are a bunch of hypocrites. Because tonight at your dinner talbe you will be eating some form of meat. Although you did not kill it, someone did! You bought that steak, chicken or BACON knowing someone did the dirty work for you!

This was a sadistic, weak excuse for a hunt. I have nothing against responsible hunting, and agree that responsible "thinning of the herd" can save overpopulations (from winter starvation, for example). Here in Ohio, the deer population explodes every year. And every year, properly trained hunters take about 200,000 deer. And guess what? It's a good thing for both the hunters and the overall deer population. But what transpired here was a hunting travesty. A kid, accompanied by fully armed adults who do nothing, goes on a three-hour shooting spree against a terrified animal. The three heavily armed adults could have ended the animal's suffering immediately. But noooo, these ignorant yahoos had to egg the kid on so he could slowly finish the job with inferior marksmanship. This had the effect of extending the animal's terror and misery for hours. And because of the atrocious non-action of the accompanying, supposedly responsible, adults, this kid now believes that what he did was a GOOD thing. This so-called "hunt" was an abomination that no truly responsible hunter would applaud. What happened to "one shot, one kill"? Slapping this miniature redneck-in-training on the back and saying "well done, boy" is the mark of a gun-totin' backwoods hick. People who applaud this barbaric display of animal cruelty are perpetuating the stereotype of Southerners being slow-witted, gun-toting inbreds. I can practically hear "Dueling Banjoes" playing in the background. Learn to hunt responsibly, you "Billy Beer" swilling morons. And quit teaching your children that being cruel to animals in the name of "sport" is OK.
This was funny!!

So this fat "Christian" boy, killed a huge pig on fenced in Lost Creek animal preserve. After shooting it 8 times and chasing it for 3 hours in how big an area? I bet he stopped to rest several times while the pig was in severe pain and complete panic to escape. There is nothing heroic about what was done here. Nothing Jesus would have done, that is for sure.
Shame on whole family, and media coverage portraying this as some kind of 'real' hunt.
I AGREE WITH YOU. Not all knows the real story.
