Ugly Double Play Sign.

Does anyone else thing the new Double Play sign in Downtown Antioch is tasteless? Is should be mounted on the ground not 15ft' in the air.

Forget the code book and take a look at the sign. Is it the type of sign we want in our downtown area? Who the heck is running things wherever it is that approved this piece of CrAP? Who is running this town??????????

The building is more of an eyesore than any sign you could place upon it. The whole structure broke the flow of the neighborhood and sticks out like an abcessed sore thumb.

I remember when it was stated somewhere that the owners were giving Antioch what they requested, a banquet facility. When my family first moved here, there was a banquet facility where Country Pontiac is now located. I had never been in that facility since it was already closed. Maybe some people in Antioch had wanted another banquet facility, but I don't think that the one built on Hillside and Lake is anywhere close to what they meant. I don't see many people using it at all. I know that the Rotary Club meets there monthly for luncheons, but does it get much usage outside of that?

I know I wouldn't have used their banquet hall. The one time we ate at Elements everything was wrong with our meal, from the big brown glob of undisolved beef stock in my soup to my steak not being properly cooked to my order. The table next to us was having similar problems with their food. And when we complained the staff argued with us and made excuses. All that at premium prices too. They made a horrible first impression and I never went back and would never consider using their banquet hall.

I've been told that the new Double Play restaurant is under new management so I might give it a try. I'm wary to waste my money though just to find out it's the same garbage quality at high prices I got at Elements and Double Eagle.

I don't care about the sign as I don't go there. Didn't go there when it was a resturant, don't go there now when it's a bar/whatever. I just don't care. I have this pesky little thing called a memory.

Could care less about Double Play or whatever they want to call themselves now. But I am interested in the Dockers North where Double Eagle was. They have a Dockers in Fox Lake and they have excellent food and a decent salad bar. Maybe the new Dockers can rent parking spaces from Double Play

Just don't bring the kids to Dockers.$8 for a kid's dinner (the usual crap fare they serve kids no less) will land your family of 4 at $50 minimum (and that was with my wife and I sharing). I'd suggest just ordering their chicken to go.

Compare that to the Chancery in Kenosha on a Teusday night where your kids pay their height. Both my kids can eat there for under $1 total. And their regular prices are already great, plus the food is really good.

I find it funny that you complain about the sign because you have nothing better to complain about. If your gonna complain about Double Play, then go there, try the food and complain that it took a while to get it and the wait staff isn't the fastest, not that a sign looks ugly. I dont think that sign is that bad, it beats the banner that they have out there and it looks alot better. Also if your gonna complain about the sign, complain about the tree that is blocking the sign when you drive past

Boy have I been put in my place!
Now I have to grow up and make something of my pathetic life because someone who has a job is obviously not a loser. However, I think he needs to flip that burger over, as it's getting a bit burned on one side and I like my burgers cooked medium. Oh yeah, I will need some fries with that order too. Can you get right on that?

Been there twice, and have to admit I'm kind of disappointed. The quality of food was nowhere near what they charge for it. The staff was nice but Im really not sure if I'm going back

Been to Dockers. Prices weren't the greatest and food was just average at best. Probably won't go back.
