I'm glad to have found this because otherwise I wouldn't have even known about the show or rather, wouldn't care about what they were talking about necessarily.

I think we need to figure out some way to use it. What a shame to let a resource go to waste.

I saw some sort of educational show a few years back where a green house in Israel used the CO2 to increase the rate of growth and production of vegetables. Makes sense to me plants need CO2 like we need O2.

John: The Bureau of Economic Geology and the IPCC remain quite confident in the overall safety of sequestered CO2 from coal plants. In fact, Secretary Chu realizes the importance of carbon capture and storage:

On 7 April, 2009 our Secretary of Energy Steven Chu explained the importance of Carbon Capture and Storage to the Wall Street Journal:

"It absolutely is worthwhile to invest in carbon capture and storage because we are not in a vacuum," Chu stated. Chu went on to say he expects the United States and countries such as India and China to continue using coal to generate electricity.

These ball-less fear mongers hide behind a keyboard and don't have the honesty to look out kids in the eyes and tell them they are screwed. They don't have the balls to march openly with a sign that says "THE END IS NEAR".
And it's Nazism disguised as Greenzism. Only a Nazi would believe in a leader who would promise to lower the temperature of the planet with tax money. Now that's a political promise only truly brainwashed goose-stepping Greenzis would obey.

Clean coal is like safe sex. Coal can never be completely clean, and sex can never be completely safe. But neither of them is going away and strides taken to make them cleaner or safer must be taken.
