Really. Lincolnton, NC is a pit of vipers. I've never seen such hopeless eyes in the youth of a town as I did there. Utter bitterness and tongues that cease not to slander others. Coveting each others possessions and seeking to destroy what is not able to be stolen. I'm not sorry for what I say here for I escaped this town after years of hell on earth in it due to others seeking to kill and steal and destroy. Hmm let's see where have I heard of that I believe the bible. Yet the churches I went to there just gave out sugar cubes. One church on Highland drive sought to have us donate property unto them before we even knew where they were gonna place the hospital but they weren't going to build a church rather sell it and profit. How did they know about the hospital before it was even built you ask a few commissioners go there and word travels fast to crooks in the know.

Keener use to speak about wanting to be in the CIA I wouldn't be surprised if he just....in general....was being himself. That land next to his house is for sale and has been for sale for years now and its commercial so it would be nice to see something happen to it if he has indeed moved on.

Anyway....yeah the construction at Ingles is their gas station. I guess they wanted to compete with the walmart one over at tractor supply before actually having the grocery store up. The GM/RSI Plant is slowly comig down in the back but I couldn't imagine much being done with a plant behind that place ...I don't see a major retail poping up unless they done some major overhauling of the entrances, fencing and overall features of the land.

I don't go to church...at all. But it was well known what places were being considered for the new hospital well before it was chosen. Just based on rumors and actual town meetings where they told you the possible places. At one time the land between the overpass and the cut through was consider down by Wilma sigmon if im not mistaken.

Lame. No I didn't join the cia. Wtf man. Even if I did I wouldn't say so duh. Yeah I was in Virginia but what I was doing at that facility shouldn't be anyone's business. The home I lived in across from the hospital is still there. But by the grace of God it finally sold. And now I have a new life. I'm not sure what their gonna be doing with it.

Agreed. Lincolnton is a tight nit community. If you're not one of them, and belong to the Christian crowd or know someone in the local community, they will treat you like crap. This town sucks and I am working my way out of it. I'm not get dragged down by the trailer trashed simple minded refuse to change simpletons in this community. Don't get me wrong, I like LINCOLNTON (The Town). However, the people in this town are horrible. People are what make the town. They're not friendly. They Expect EVERYONE to kiss their a$$es. Even complete strangers.

This town is trash. To the few good people here, they just stay in their homes while the trash takes over the town. Then, yes, the police department. PATHETIC. I live on a busy road in the city of lincolnton. They fly up and down it constantly. ANYONE who lives on this road knows exactly what I'm talking about. The speed limit is 35, but I know they do at least 50 if not 60. No emergency either. Their lights are off. I HATE this town, but I don't let it bring me down. I concentrate on what I have to do to leave this POS. The people here have ruined it. I wouldn't be surprised if nature sends a tornado here one day.

It's a corrupt little town. Typical small town america. I enjoy bigger cities. Less biases, and they're open minded.

I'm with you funny. I've been here 10 years now and of all the places I've ever lived, I've never had so much trouble making friends. The only time any one is kind to you is when they are at work and have to be. I suppose if you are a family or a retired couple, it might not be so bad. But a single middle aged guy hasn't got a chance in hell of making friends. Since I have no use for the churches and refuse to belong to organizations, I'm pretty much SOL. I didn't like living in Charlotte much but at least the people were nicer.

Regarding the new Ingle's, I'm glad they're finally getting it done. June 1st seems to be the target date for opening and providing I'm still stuck here, I'll be doing business there rather than having to drive to Dallas.

well joshua keener, a.k.a. above, Andrew, Mike, RandyBrooks, funny, atc...I know this is the same person, we have read all your complaints on the other forums in Lincolnton and know this is you trying ot be everyone else. Get off the computer and go erad your psalms again...and you ask why you get treated like you do? Actions speak for themselves.

I will not be shopping at Ingles grocery store no more than I shop at Harris Teeter (which is never). The Ingles in Dallas is higher priced than Bi-Lo by at lest 50 cent on any item. Bi-Lo's is high enough for me and I cannot get the things I need for the prices these days. Compare the difference on non- ad slaes items. You will see why, Ingles is a no show for me.
I was also wondering if the business being tore down across from Tractor Supply is actually going to be a Target like rumors are flying around. That is a no show for me as well. Too High in prices and no better quality than anywhere else.

The land formerly RSI/General Marble...is not large enough for a target. Most targets are in a shopping center surrounded by other stores. Targets that feature a full grocery center is sometimes by its self but its too close to Bilo for grocery and too close to walmart for general merch.

Also...there is a plant behind that. Which to me...makes it tough for a retail store of any kind to be there. Anyone who remembers when most of the plants in town were active combined with the school will remember the line of cars that 3 oclock brings. You don't want workers trying to get home to deal with random shoppers.

If you look at the signs you will see that the sign infront of the still standing building says that the building is for lease....and the building that's been torn down it says the land is for sale. Maybe this means that the whole thing isn't being torn down. Even if it is...the parking spaces would be rough to figure out. Retail stores by the cities rules has to have a certain amount of parking spaces based on the size of the store.

Its possible...we could get one of those small shopping centers that features like a hair cutting place...a 5 guys...and a random gamestop or something like that....but target would just be to big. If the whole land was for sale maybe....but with walmart right there its not happening.

There isn't any where that target could go in Lincolnton...well maybe car farm road if that land gets sold....

You got it all wrong dood. I may not belong to a "religious circle" aka Cult, but I am a man of faith. I thank God every single day for all my blessings. That being said, you should not point your finger so quickly. It's so easy for all of you church goers to point your fingers with judgement, when that right belongs to God only!!! That's what's wrong with you. The better title for what the church does is called brain washing. They teach you to point, be judgmental, and take your money for their own purposes, disguising it with the necessary charity work to attempt to hide the likely corruptions. Don't get me started! I'll chew you up and spit you out.

As far as the new developments are concerned, you should be glad they're here. Giving these folks that lost their jobs when the plants closed down, is a big bonus for this town. Being the smart shopper that I am, I don't buy everything from one place. Ingle's has things that nobody else carries and there are times I'll need or want what they have to offer. You gotta think 3 dimensional. This town is so full of 2 dimensional minds,.........
