How many of you had the opportunity to know this wonderful beautiful man? He was a soldier and had been to Iraq several times since 2002. He died Sunday, December 16th at the very young age of 31. He was a great friend to so many people. He will be missed by so many. My heart is broken at this tragic loss. I pray for all of his family and friends. I know he is happy and at peace now but saying goodbye to him is so very hard!!!
Thanks for listening!!! If you knew him - add to this and lets keep it going.

Very hard working man - very good looking also!! Sweet as can be - great friend - didn't give him self enough credit for how neat of a guy he really was - such a waste - not wars to fight now - at peace - bet his beautiful smile is shinning down on us all -

I am Jeff's stepmom. All your comments and prayers mean so much to his family. Us, as his family have an interesting relationship. We have always gotten along so the kids would not be stressed by steps and parents apart. We celebrate holidays together, even go on trips together! Jeff used to laugh and say "We're having the Jerry Springer cookout next weekend!"
We have all supported Jeff throughout his life, including his military career. It seems we always were going to see him off to his military deployments. We never imagined we would accompany him on his highest deployment. Our hearts ache and we miss him here, but we know he is in an incredible, beautiful place! Imagine the Christmas he is having this year with our Lord!
Thank you from his family for sharing his life with us and keep praying as we are praying for his friends.

I did not know Jeff as all of you did. In fact I barely knew him. But the impression he left was very strong. I hope you all will continue writing in. It makes me proud that he defended our country so many times. He was a wonderful person and I'm tickled to know that he knew the Lord. He will have the peace now that he couldn't have during the war. I hope to hear more about him.

I was very fortunate to have worked with Jeff at WD in Lincolnton many years ago when I was a teenager. What can you say about Jeff that hasn't already been said. He was one heck of a guy. He was probably the hardest working man I've ever had the priveledge of knowing. He was always a pal and always had good advice. My condolences to everybody. We sure have lost one of the good guys!

Jeff wasn't only my neighbor. He was a great friend. Jeff had the ability to make you laugh even on your worst days. He was loved by so many and will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with with Elaine, Dennis, Pam, Al, and Jenny.

I wasn't able to attend the funeral but I would like to know where Jeff's final resting place is if that is ok? I'd like to personally pay my last respects.
Thanks

jason, Hi Jeff is buried at Roseland Baptist Church, which is the road in front of the old Roseland Grocery Store that is now "Sidetracks" or something like that.

I am so glad to see this on here. I have known Jeff since 3rd Grade. And I had the Honor of dating him our senior year in high school. He was the most wonderful person I have ever met. He was a ball of energy. He was something very special and I miss him terribly. When he passed I read all the letters he wrote me in high school and it made me realize that we had just lost one of the most outstanding people to have ever walked the face of the earth! I have posted some pictures of him on my myspace from high school (he is probably fussing at me now for doing it). It was and still is difficult for me to tell him goodbye. To his family. I love each of you and you are in my thoughts every single day.

I served with Jeff in '03 in Iraq. We were in the same unit for several years. Jeff was always full of life and frequently trying to get people to laugh. He was a stand up guy, and I am proud to say I served with him. I was shocked today when I found out about his passing. I will pray for his family and friends.

The Lincoln Times Newspaper finally did a story on Jeff in the 01-21-08 edition, although there was so much more to say at least he was recognized for the great person, Soldier and friend that he was. He was such a beautiful person inside and out. I miss him so much!! Even though it had been a long time since I had seen him I knew where he was. Oh how I wish I could have talked to him one last time! I know I am just repeating myself but my heart will ache for a long time over this tragedy. I also wish I could have got to know his family and more about what made him happy. He told me one time he would love to be a Chef someday. He would have made a great one cause he could really cook!! Anyway I just can't say enough about how much I miss him and how great he was!!!!
