Saw a little "letters to the editor" about L&L in todays (weds) news paper. It was short but basically upset over the locals not supporting the resturant.
No Offense to Dave or any other local joint and their customers but for me, in my opinion, I think its really hard to trust anyone to say "well the food is really good" everyones tastes is different. They want something they know a bit more.
Noone will admit it but the well known places are the hits for a reason. However, it is true that some local places such as a City Lunch can survive for years and years but they have their critics too but that doesnt stop anyone from going there does it?
They have a great location right next to the courtsquare. Downtown. You want a quick and cheap lunch then City Lunch is usually the way to go. And if you dont like it oh well... plenty others do.
Isnt it possible to own a franchise of a bigger name resturant but since its yours you can add a twist to it? Like the mitch hedberg joke.
"I wanna open a McDonald's and not participate in anything. I wanna be a stubborn McDonald's owner.'Cheeseburgers? Nope! We got spaghetti and blankets."
Thats what I think Lincolnton Resturant Owners could do. Buy into a Franchise open it but put their own L-Town twist on it and serve some special menu items. I dont know how strict franchises are these days but I have seen that a lot of resturants BIG NAME resturants claim to be franchise only which means they wont come here unless someone wants them here and buys the right to get them here. I think IHOP is that way.

Tommy ask a dumb question so Tommy gets a dumb answer.......
They use forks and spoons or sometimes just pick up their food with their hands (like hamburgers and fries). They open up their mouths and put the food in. Then they chew up the food and then swallow it.....THAT IS HOW they eat in that place.
Question for Tommy.....HOW DO YOU EAT ?

If I am not mistaken the letters just recently came down they were still up well after the closing of L&L werent they?
I noticed the other day they were missing because I saw a SUV infront of the place with their trunk open and after they left I saw the lights were on in the place and some people were standing infront of the door and windows.
So, has something bought it to move in or were the pervious owners just getting their stuff out?
I dont realy like CiCis Pizza but it would seem like CiCis Pizza or I believe its Papas Pizza in Cherryville would fit really well in that place. You know one of those buffet pizza places that has that family appeal. I dont like CiCis because the pizzas are flat and cheap tasting but Papas in Cherryville was a lot nicer in taste and offered some other choices.

what in the hell is this being brought up for? It's CLOSED! Thank Goodness!!!!!

The previous owners or others would/might know if something new was moving in and since the letters were taken down recently that means changes are taking place currently.
Its nice to know what is going on in your town instead of sitting back and just finding out months after it opens.

Recentlly, saw a cook dressed like person walking around in Bilo and I asked someone about them and they said Lucy's Pizza or something like that would be moving in or opening up soon in L&L. Pizza Buffet.

I heard it was Moose's pizza from the old big j's building moving in there. If it is, he's an idiot. I go to Moose's at least once a week because I live on the country club road and it's on the way home. I'm not driving all the way up there when domino's is still on my route. They're idiots for moving into a place that has housed two failed restaurTs.

Could be you know how some people hear something wrong a loss in translation type thing "lucy" or "loose's" could sound like Moose which I think they do it like Moooooooosee or something insanely silly like that..
But yeah, I agree, but at the same time that China resturant was there for a very long time and then L&L was short lived.
Until something moves into Walmart's building worth going to it wont make any sense to have a sit down resturant in that center. Bars are fine but the idea of a sit down resturant in a shopping center works when you have people who shop and then need to rest. Be them over weight, old, young or just hungry shopping leads to wanting something to eat and since they just spent all their money on shopping it needs to be some what cheap and for everyone.
Its soo logical and soo common sense that its one of those things that even the "smartest" business owner is too stupid to realize it.
Thanks for the input though, maybe my info was confused for yours or yours were confused for mine. I heard it would be a buffet style though which if its presented like some of the other buffet pizza places it could really make an impact but if not then it will fail too.

I should of done this before typing the last part but I checked out their facebook and you are indeed correct it is Moooses. The person I spoke to must of never heard of Mooses in the 1st place to call it Looses lol.
It was certainly a bad former location (even though it was the best for you) because the hospital was gone and ofcourse with Dominos up on the corner. It just didnt make sense maybe over at Bilo will make more sense and if something moves into Walmart it will be even better for them.
In Cherryville, Papa's Pizza got some new neighbors recently where got a Pizza Hutt Delivery Only ...thats gotta suck...but I actually kind of hope they put one of those with Dunkin Doughnuts. I usually see Papa Johns with DD's on the way to beach but since there is already a Papa Johns accross the street and our current Pizza Hutt is considered Downtown...having a Pizza Hutt Delievery Only in Boger City could be interesting.

Your F...nuts we do not have any good restaurants. They are damn hamburger joints!!!

Doesnt lincolnton just have Wendys and McDonalds? thats just two. Its is closed. Does Sonic count? Oh.. I guess CookOut but CookOut is like a rare eating place the fact Lincolnton has one is pretty cool its not really anywhere else.
Then what.. 4 chicken places, 2 fish places, one BBQ, 2 steakhouses (if we count FATz), 5 pizza places, 1 roast beef, 1 hotdog place, 3 mexican, 3 japanese/chinese, 2 drive ins and like 3 subways because quiznos got shutdown twice.
Thats really it. Where are these "hamburger joints" where Hamburgers are the main and only food they serve? Or do you just mean it as to say "fast food" ? because it must not be too bad if McDonalds was jammed packed everyday while they were remodeling.
