I have to say, the people who purchased that property have really made some amazing changes...it looks great!

Ive been by there and actually talked to them one day.....they have in the past bought a morgue as well as a movie theatre and made them their home....they just dont like the traditional house.

Kozzy, Im just curious...why do you have to show up on each thread and just plain nasty to people? Are you just wanting attention or are you that angry at the world?

I WILL BE COMING DOWN THAT WAY FOR THANKSGIVING AND I REMEMBER THIS PLACE. I WORKED THERE WHEN IT WAS THE BRIAN CENTER MANY MANY YEARS AGO. I WAS 18 THEN AND NOW 42. ANYWAYS THAT PLACE WAS ALWAYS CREEPY IN THE DAYLIGHT . THAT IS A PRETTY BIG PLACE THOUGH . I WOULD BE INTERESTED TO SEE WHAT THESE PEOPLE DO WITH THE PLACE. I KNOW IT WAS RAN DOWN THERE FOR YEARS.

It's beautiful now!
It's up for sale now too...I hope someone takes what they've done with it, and turns it into an adult/senior apartment building.

Yeah interested in knowing what there next stop will be....they have put a lot of money in to that place to be up and moving already....wonder if they've heard or seen too many things. I know at one point their dog would be 'looking at something' or occationally they would get a whiff of lysol. Wonder if anything else has been happening? Surely if they've lived in a Morgue and old hospital and resthome couldnt creep them out.
Way to do Kozzy....first nice thing Ive seen you post.

I WENT BY THE PLACE WHILE I WAS DOWN THERE AND ALL I COULD SAY WAS IT WAS BEAUTIFUL ON THE OUTSIDE. DOLLFACE I REALLY WOULDNT DOUBT IT IF THAT PLACE IS HAUNTED. WHEN I WORKED THERE WHEN IT WAS THE BRAIN CENTER THE 1ST FLOOR OR BASEMENT WAS WHERE THE SENIOR APARTMENTS WERE FOR THOSE THAT COULD LIVE ON THIER OWN AND GET AROUND BUT JUST NEEDED SOMEONE TO WATCH AFTER THEM FROM TIME TO TIME. THE SECOND FLOOR HAD THE INTERMEDIATE ALZIEMER PAITENTS AND THE REST HOME AREA. THE 3RD FLOOR WAS THE ONES THAT WERE ADVANCE CARE. THE MORGE WAS LOCATED ON THE BOTTOM FLOOR BUT THAT PLACE WAS CREEPY WHEN I WORKED THERE. ESPECIALLY ON THE 1ST FLOOR. SPECIALLY WHEN YOU WERE WALKING THE HALLS BY YOURSELF. I HAVE SEEN MANY PEOPLE DIE IN THERE WHEN WORKING THERE. COULD ONLY IMAGINE ALL THE SOULS INSIDE THAT PLACE FROM THE VERY BEGINING

I was born there also in 1962, and I was a candystriper in the 70's also there. I would walk with my sister from LJHS down to the old Crowell Hospital, both of us in the red and white striped dress, and the other kids always made fun of us. Loved the nurses and they would always tell us the "ghost story" of the day.
We never ran across a ghost, nor did we want to. lol

I was born there in 1961 and was also a candy stripper in the 70's. I remember the 3rd floor creaking when we walked in certain places. My mom was a nurse there in the 60's and used the old cage elevator on 2nd floor. She took me a ride down on it from second floor to first in the 70's. Very creepy!

I talked with them once and they a said the only thing they have experienced is an occasional Lysol smell out if on where and sometimes their dog would act a certain way.
They don't like living in conventional homes. They've lived in a movie theatre and a morgue before this.

Born there in 1953. When I was a kid they had separate entrances for blacks. Need to go and check it out
