When did Moose's Pizza close? Rode by there over the weekend and the place looked abandoned. There was a sign on the door that said they have closed.

Have They? The one next to Bilo?

I never went there. I have noticed for a few months that the retail website that leases those buildings has had Mooses listed as being "Currently Occupied But Available" for about two months now.

It said that for almost a year for Hibbett Spors until it finally said SageSports Two Months before SageSports opened. So, its possible that they found someone new to take the place...Ill have to check in on the lamar site and see what pops up.

Oh and Unless they have a new Facebook I dont see anything on their facebook page.

I tried to tell the fools to stay over in the old Big J's building. It was cheap to rent and had plenty of customers. I stopped twice a week just because it was on my way home. I only went to the new place once and once was enough. Looks like they lost all their regular customers like me by moving.

True, all vaild points but they clearly wanted a more resturant type feel instead of what Big J's offered. Just like how the BBQ place took over the old Burger King after moving out of that place.

I wouldnt say that place is cursed just that its a good starter place but not a good place to stay. Big J was perfect and had it right for many years because of hometown loyality. I think the time for eating at that location has ended. Good Luck to The L-Town Grill that is currently there but I just feel that place would be better served as something else now that the hospital is gone. However, people like who do use that road on the way to work do seem to need it...so maybe something that cater more to you would be more helpful not like a gas station but something more of that nature a quick place but still a good stop and go type place. But like I said since L-Town Grill is currently there I dont wanna jynx it and get ahead of anything.

Anyway, I am reminded of when Ryan's closed how WSOC-TV claimed that a local resturant that just opend was looking into it to open another location...I honestly, wouldnt be suprised if they were looking for an larger place in Ryans.

Big J's was a success partly due to the VFW swimming pool...since it no longer exists, it will be hard to have a successful business there.
They should put something there that Lincolnton doesn't already have...like a Krispy Kreme.:)

Loved Big J's hated to see it go, never tried Mooooses there, but, we went to try L-town out only to discover after driving across town, it was closed for a private party. They had the windows covered with black plastic it seemed and a note on the window saying closed for private party. So, don't know when I will get back that way to try it again. While we were backing up to leave, two other cars had came in and left also.

Well, L-Town Grill is closed now...im not sure when it closed but what you saw might of been them having a private goodbye to their resturant.

Krispy Kreme...I agree and I disagree. I do like Krispy Kreme. Its a great snack at the beach...however, no one is supporting Dunkin Doughnuts...ofcourse we could argue the fact...because they want Krispy Kreme and not Dunkin Doughnuts. lol and that might be true however...

Krispy Kreme wont come if they dont think the interest is here. If DD fails then they will think KK will too. I also done some looking around the guy or company who bought in DD also apparently did some KKs in other places or atleast the name attached pop up with some Krispy Kreme Street Address's which was strange.

I think something to consider is that some resturants are actually a franchise only type thing so we could get an IHOP and it would be locally owned but the issue is who in lincolnton is gonna step up and say we need one? Usually, or so it seems, we get resturants and stores based on what the owner wants.

It must be nice but I can't disagree. If I had money and I mean a lot of money I would do an outdoor mall with actual mall type stores that I know people will actually stop and shop at. Everytime I go to hickory they are redoing one of their shopping centers making it better and look nicer for more stores to move in. Then I come back to lincolnton to an empty rite aid...half empty dollar general shopping center...half empty big lots shopping center...all that land at the old ford place...empty zaxby's shopping center...

Why we dont have the "express" verisons of stores is still beyond me...Toys R Us, Target and a few others all have an express verison combine that with some quick stop in stores...help out radio shack with a make over...some different style of resturants...we would have a nice shopping center.

Lincolnton is a horrible town to start a business. I have seen so many companies come and go in this town it's pathetic. I have also lived here for only two years. The only thing Lincolnton is good for is ___________.
