Review: Great Lakes Towing

I CALLED GREAT LAKES TO GET MY WIFE AND SMALL CHILD FROM THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AT 11 PM ON A SUNDAY, NOT ONLY DID THEY GET THERE IN LESS THAN 25 MINUTES AS PROMISED BUT THEY ALSO DROVE MY FAMILY HOME BEFORE THEY TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP,WE HAVE ONLY ONE VEHICLE. GREAT COMPANY CLEAN,WELL DRESSED DRIVERS AND THE NICEST TRUCKS AROUND.

Beware of doing business with this company! My car was involved in an accident and Great Lakes Towing was called by the police to tow the car to their Va Buren Township impound yard. They charged $95 to tow the car 2 miles! I called and talked to them on two separate occasions to arrange to pick up the car and both times had a verbal agreement on the cost to get the car released. When I arrived at their yard, they jacked the price up $25. They deal in cash transactions only. Fortunately, I had an extra $25 they could rip off.
This company waits until you are most vulnerable and will take advantage of your situation. I recommend avoiding this company if at all possible.
