Recently, I was told that a certain convienence store in Lincoln has had 3 or 4 instances of shop lifting. I was also told that a male store employee had the customers empty their pockets and held them in the store. Believe me I do not condone theft in any way shape or form but is this legal for an employee to do?

i believe they can do this and detain them until the police arrive
