I unfortunately know Alissa very well but luckily cut my ties with her a few years ago. I am disgusted by her behavior and sad to say not at all surprised that she violated her bond within hours. This woman has no remorse for her actions that took that poor womans life and no remorse for leaving Mrs. Schaubs child motherless and her own son virtually motherless. I hope the judicial system makes a statement with her and lets people know that they can not get away with such horrible crimes.

It is a tragic situation where all loses, but we must try to help and heal the living for now and the future, Alissa will have to live with the memory for the rest of her life.
Medical help and intervention should be primary, the legal system will hopefully be fair and just.

Where is the fairness for Heather? Better yet for Rusty and Fletcher. They have been robbed of the love and comfort of a wife and mother. What is fair in that or just? If Alissa had any remorse she would not have been re-arrested just hours after her release for drinking. She would have stopped! She shows no remorse and she should go to prison for must longer than the 16 years max.

I cannot judge Alissa for what has happened. I am quite saddened for the reckless loss of life in this situation. The only logical thing to do is help those left behind deal with their grief. Alissa will pay for what she caused. If not in this lifetime, then the next. She has an illness. I understand she is getting help, but it will be a long haul and I don't feel the maxinum sentence is the answer. I am sure the judge will be fair when sentencing her and it will be up to Alissa to take care of the rest.
