Anyone have a clue as to who is going to be running for any positions in the town this fall?
Hopefully

Let's hope we can "clean house" with this election!

Personally, I think the incumbents have done a good job and feel sorry for some of the "crap" they have had to put up with.

He must be a "long-distance" candidate.

Not to worry folks. The good citizens are going to take over. It is going to be such fun watching them save our "beautiful pristine downtown".
I heard they are going to change the name of Lima to "Stepford".I feel enlightened already.

Hurray for the good citizens. Would anyone know them if they were ever spotted downtown?

Let's see..... I think I saw two of them set up in Milburn's when the BIG WM scare was on.But wait ....maybe it was them in front of the local bar with the monkey suits on. I think I saw a real resemblance there.
Funny I never saw them before or after that in the many years I have lived here.Could that be because they only support stores in Honeoye Falls? I hope it wasn't one of their superior children that robbed Ruth's last week.Heaven's no!! It must have some WM shoppers.
But don't worry we are all going to meet them soon because they will be running for office. That's a good thing because they will be getting rid of the few people who aren't afraid to speak their true mind. When you decide who to vote for remember this - there is substitute for clear thinking and high morals.

We will meet them as they go door to door to tell us how they will "better" serve our needs.
Even though they have not lived here as long as some of us,they will have our best interests at heart. That is, if we live live closer to HF.

I'm all for cleaning house. What makes you think you should have more say in this town because you have lived here longer than someone else? If you could ever find your way to saying something nice maybe you would feel better about yourselves and not have to spend your time attacking other people because they dare to think differently than you.

I think cleaning house once in a while is a good idea. But I hope that the baby won't be thrown out with the bath water.
The problem is not how long we have lived here but the reasons that we moved here in the first place. Those reasons seem to be getting pushed aside by new people who want to take over. Talk about saying something nice. You must not have been at those Anti- WM meetings. When people are being attacked for their ideas they tend to get nasty in return.
How would you like it if someone came into your house and started critizing everything in it? Personally I feel very good about myself thank you.You might want to listen to yourself.Isn't your idea of "cleaning house" to get rid of the couple of people on the boards that think differently than you??? Whatever, Lima will get the government that it deserves.I will be having fun watching it all. Good Luck.
PS -the Rainbow Lane isn't the only place that is full of dog poop. Woops - there I go being nasty again.Sorry I just can't help myself.Somepeople just want to have fun.

I have no problem with people that think differently from me. However, I despise hypocrites.New people are always welcome,we need input from everyone. My bone of contention is the fact that the people who are so "worried" about local businesses don't shop there. They just adhere to the NIMBY philosophy. Believe it or not.

It wouldn't surprise me to see the dog poop on Rainbow Lane become an issue in the upcoming elections. Somebody has to clean that mess up over there.

The Republican causus is Tuesday night. It proves to be an interesting night. We are still in the for/against attitude that should have disappeared when Walmart pulled out. Kathy Gardner and Dan Marcellus (the anti group) are going up against Harold Harris and Bill Carey and anyone else that seeks the position.

I just heard that Cathy Gardner and Dan Marcellus won. Is that true or someone blowing smoke you-know-where?

Lima isn't the only town with homes in forclosure status. Half that problem is that people get in over their heads and live beyond their means and unforutnately the job situation changes.

I'd love to see more business here. What's going on with the old Hillcrest?

It's good to see some places along the main road spruced up. Let's hope for the best and that Lima will survive.

The Hillcrest will be going up for sale again.

There can not be a business there. So it looks like an apartment might be the best bet.

Apartments at the Hillcrest? I hope they look nice and are not rented out to those who destroy the places they live.

Now, if only they can make the dump called the Upper Deck clean up it's act... in more ways than one.
