And think about this also. When I was young a black couples got married and raised families. A man didn't have 5 or 6 children by 5 or 6 different women. That would be disgraceful and disrespectful to our families.

A black man was head of the household but the wife was also a strong leader and helped make decisions.

Children were obedient and respectful. If you got out of line or did something to bring embarrassment on the family you got a spanking with a switch or a belt on your backside.

Notice I did not say you got a beating. There is a big difference. All these modern "experts" on raising children say beatings are wrong and I agree but a spanking or switching is a different thing. Sometimes is the best option when dealing with a disrespectful and disobedient child. If it is done with love and respect for the child it can teach a powerful lesson. My parents said they would never spank us when they were angry and they never did. I never spanked my kids when I was angry. There was always a quiet time while we talked things over and I gave them a chance to defend their actions.

That is all so true. What you said though, has happened to society as a whole not just to the black race. The youth of today seem to have totally different values than those of their grandparents and in most cases that not a good thing.

I totally agree with what you said about an "idle mind". I do think that much of what is wrong these days is because people have too much free time on their hands.

Man I read this over and this is crazy. I hate what happened to Tony but JUST or whoever says Patrick got what he deserved a bullet to the head. Well call me what you want because if i knew who you were I"D PUT A BULLET IN YOUR DAMN HEAD!!! So think what you want to about me and my family. But we love each other and maybe if you'll open your eyes and face reality, you'd see it was a crime of passion. I'm sorry to put that about the bullet in the head but JUST had some nerve, you aren't GOD so who are you to judge.
