the ten people who beat tony blakney like he wasn't a human being, but instead did it like he was a dog, has to pay for their actions. It didn't take all of that devilish stuff to be done to him. Tony was a human just like they was. He ahd something to live for, more than they will ever know. The "mob" should have waited until the police got there and just let them handle the situation. If they would have done just that, Tony would be alive today, and able to see and hear from the people that really did love him and still do love him. Only one person could have did hitting, not all 11. Before someone else tries to go and take the law into their own hands, think before you react, and don't let your friends and/or your family members do the thinking for you, because you are going to pay for actions. The one that did the killing was they friend. Why didn't they do something to him. This is the end of my comment: Why should anyone take an innocent mans' life, when all they was doing was trying to help?
A dear friend of Tony

Bringing those 10 men in a court room will bring more grief as we re-live that horrible day of Sept. 1, although it will bring closure when this is over. I pray that the courts will deliver justice. No one should have to experience the pain and agony that Tony endured before departing this life here on earth. My heart is heavy and my soul is trouble, I know God is hearing the people cry out. Justice will be served

Yeah my heart goes out to family of tony blakeney for their loss, but people seem to forget what about Patrick McClendon, none of this would've occured if they would've came clean because how can't you know a car is in the back of your house and there three houses but you don't notice a car thats never been there and marshvilles news travels fast so i know they heard our family was looking for the car and patrick way before a week went by so you can't say anything really until you've walked in those shoes.

I've seen this property= that car was not right behind the home. It was far enough away not to have noticed it for a very long time - why do you think it was only found during a "Search"? I'm sorry for your lost, but the way Tony was brutally & shamelessly beaten is a tradgedy no family should have to endure. My prayers go to the Blakeney family.

Yeah no tragedy a family should have to endure is looking continiously everyday for one they love, when nobody seems to care but family. Patrick layed out a whole week his body was decomposed. For one minute open your heart and understand at least the blakeney's got to see Tony before he went to his final resting place, there was no flesh left on patrick nothing at all. Patrick was brutally murdered and tortured. Put yourself in patrick's family shoes and imagine it being one of your loved ones then you talk to me.

It's always easy to point fingers and place blame. But it's never easy to admit when you have done wrong.Tony was my cousin and he had many faults, but being a murderer was not one of them. He was a kind and loving person, that always had a smile on his face.I did not know Patrick Mcclendon, but know some of his family, and my heart goes out to them. What we seem to forget is that we lost two of our Brothers in this tradegy. and just like one of the comments said, Marshville in a small town, where everyone knows everyone. The guys that beat Tony, knew him, and knew in their heart that he was not a MURDERER, he did not have that kind of heart. This was a senseless tradegy, that has affected many families. I'm sure that both of these guys that lost their lives, left behind someone that LOVED THEM. WE AS A PEOPLE NEED TO TAKE HEED OF WHAT HAPPENED AND START RESPECTING THE LIVES OF OTHERS, IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SOMEONE, USE SOME COMMON SENSE, AND LEARN FROM THIS. WHEN YOU THINK OF TAKING A LIFE, REMEMBER THAT YOU AFFECT MANY LIVES....MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE MOTHER'S OF THESE YOUNG MEN. WHO WANTS TO HAVE TO BURY YOUR CHILD?

It is a sad situation for both families. I feel for both of them. What were all these guys out roaming the streets anyway? You get with the wrong crowd and you will eventually get in situations you should have never been in.You lay with dogs and you will eventually get fleas. I feel if all of these guys had jobs and been off the streets this never would have happened. I do not know who worked and who did not work but they all should have been home. Now two innocent young men are dead. My heart goes out to both families, but my heart hurts everyday for Mr. and Mrs. Blakeney. There is not on this earth any two better people than Mr. and Mrs. Blakeney. How can anyone be so cruel to beat, kick. and stomp someone to death. Put yourself in Tonys place. Oh they can't have a heart or conscious? I am sure both families miss their children and I only hope justice is served for these brutal crimes. If it is not done on earth it will be done.

Was Tony also in the "wrong crowd?" Think about that.(Yahoo at Marshville)
And were they roaming the streets or frantically searching for their friend and family member?
Yahoo, let somebody take your son, brother, father and then tell me how they should have reacted.
I am not saying that Tony should have died. That was not premeditated (their intent was not to kill him). But I do know (keeping it real) that if I was in the same shoes as those of 11 men..I may have also let my emotions take over and react in the same manner.

All of those men should have let the police handle the situation. Tony and the rest of the crowd should have been home. No one or more has the right to take another mans life. Had Tonys brother not ran he would have been killed too. First of all they should have not been in a crowd. Two wrongs don't make a right. I feel very sad for all involved. Well if you have emotions to hurt someone you need anger management classes. Think about those families, think how they feel.Sounds like to me you do not care about the families. I guess you think no justice needs to be served for Tonys death. Someone needs to be held accountable.

Don't care about the families? If you only knew. Being related to both families I bet that I know more about how it feels than you do. Both Tony and Patrick should be alive right now. All I'm saying is that everyone makes it look like the McClendon family went there to hunt TOny down and kill him. That wasn't the case. Yes I feel for the Blakeney's; no one should have to bury there child. But first degree murder is first defined as premeditated. And from the facts it was not. They were driven by emotions. Lets just not try to act as if we had seen the same thing they saw that we wouldn't of been mad as hell too. Someone should be held accountable, and they will be. But under the justice of the law; not a premeditated first degree charge.

Sounds like to me you need to go back to school and learn to proofread your comments before you post them and aleast speak as if you have some type of knowledge and compassion. For you to wish death on someone is very ignorant of you, sorry for using that big word on you. No matter what you think no one deserves to be beat down like a slave. That was like a lynching, sorry do you know what that means? Look it up! I wonder how everyone would feel if they let the guy who killed your family member out of jail to walk around free as you me. Think about that.

MOB?? On no, you've been listening to the media to much. Mob is not the word that should be used. Neither is vigilante, which they carelessly used in this case. The fact of the matter is these family members were upset. Yes they were wrong in accusing Tony. But at that point all the evidence pointed to Tony. Even today, we don't know if Tony knew where Pat Rat was the day the family was called or if there was prior knowledge. Lamont, who was charged for Pats murder, may have asked Tony if he could leave the car on their property. Where the Blakeney's live, if two cars pulled on the property then someone is going to hear it, no matter what time of night it is.

There are two many unanswered questions. But using the facts, everyone will get the judgment that they deserve. Whether in life or death, no one knows but God.

Tony didn't know the car was down there because he hadn't been staying down there for a few days. What do you call more than 6 people beating a man, I think it's called a mob. Look up the definition of a mob, never mind I'll give you the definition; Mob-a disorderly lawless crowd, any crowd. Listen to this, guess what the slang definition of mob is? Mob- a gang of criminals. If you think I'm lying look it up for yourself. I ask this question again what if they let the guy who murdered pat out free, how would you feel?

YOU HAVE DEMEANED TONY!
