There must be some reason, then to collect disability. A person here must jump through hoops for years to recieve this.

5 must have had some sort of documentation of an autoimmune disorder-a positive anti-nuclear antibody test or c-reactive protein-something.

All I'm saying is to please explore this website and if possible, make an appointment at Hopkins. It is the benchmark for current and great treatment.

Thank you.

The only place that MAY be able to help her is a Psych ward/hospital. Can you recommend a great one of those?

Some of you people on the forum are just downright mean. I don't agree with all of what 5WR says, but if she is truely having these symptoms then she deserves proper medical care. I took 5 yrs of going to multiple specialists before I was properly diagnosed. In the end it was lupus, fibro, chronic pain syndrome and degenerative arthritis. My drs are still adjusting meds, as most of the standard medications used to treat these conditions do not work for me.

I would love to work, in fact if you think it's so easy to work while in pain I will trade you. You take my illnesses and the pain (and overwhelming fatigue)that go with them, I will go to work for you.

you may also want to try living with no income for at least two years while your case is reviewed by social security. It was sooo easy to get ssd, can't wait till you hater get to try it.

5WR I've been lurking on this forum since before you started posting. I have notice a decline in your typing and thought pattern. I hope you find a doctor that you like and that can help you.

Thanks for your support.

The decline in the general rhetoric of my posts took place because I finally gave up and figured, why try to be intelligent, when I can just poke fun at Latrobe?

The decline in my typing is indeed a symptom of what's happening.

The local MD, "Dr. Throws a Punch at the Country Club" was worthless as a "manager" of my care, clueless, and I am filing appropriate complaints against him.

Because I look healthy -- and am quite articulate, positive and upbeat,(excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuse me), most MDs find it hard to believe, it seems that I have severe pain.

However, the pain management clinic does not, yet I do NOT WANT to manage my pain, I was to -- first -- have a decent diagnosis, then, I want to solve the problem in a variety of ways. Then, for the inflammation disorder, then we can later manage pain or hit me with Methotrexate, or Enbrel.

But, I'd at least like to feel that I am NOT more "in charge" of my medical well-being than some local-yocal who doesn't even have me fill out an intake sheet, when I arrive for an appointment!

The only thing I can say is...why did you keep going to the same doctor. You seem to do enough research...
At first, in the fall of 2007, I had to deal with the severe grief and major depression, and the upcoming hemorahhing, which would last from 1/2008 - 6/2009. Between the two, the major depressive episode, and the severe uterine bleeding, trying to deal with the increasing spinal stiffness, and stiffness extending to my extremities was like trying to put a cherry on a sundae that was too big to hold the top scoop of ice cream.

But, my local PCP, Dr. Threw a Punch at Latrobe Country Club, was perfectly happy to see me in his office, bitching 8-times a year, as to what's wrong, and what should I do next!

If he felt that he couldn't "deal" with my symptoms, which he eventually told me in June 2011, and that I needed an Internist, well:

-----Jesus Christ, he should have told me that tree-years-ago, when all of this really got bad!

Latrobe hospital has a woman who has a long police record on theft, stealing checks, identity theft, working at the hospital cleaning patients rooms. Do they not do background checks on employees? Do you want this employee cleaning your room with your personal items in there? I called and told Human Resouces about her and they never did anything. Shes still working there. Her name is Anita C. Lock up your personal items when you are at this hospital.

Latrobe hospital is a dump! Specifically, the ER his horrible. Misses diagnoses. Important ones. The care upstairs is subpar like a county hospital. They cannot handle anything the least challenging because from what Ive experienced the specialists cant be bothered seeing patients. My father was taken there ONCE! Never again! Its obvious they are running that dump on a shoestring. I wouldnt take a dying gerbil there! If you can get to Indiana or get to Pittsburgh where you have a chance if ita the least bit complex.

The night my other died -- in between the breaths that she could take -- she was saying, "I love you honey, I love you Sweetheart. Pittsbrugh. Pittsbrugh. Pittsburgh."

She wass letting me know that she didn't want to go to Latrobe.

The ambulance drivers refused to take up to Shadyside or Presbyterian.

In the ER, no one provided my mother any care for more than a hour as she gasped for air.

Dr. Amity -- REFUSED -- to tall the heart specialist. Dr. Amity's shift was over at 11:00 pm and I guess he wanted to go home.

A nurse in the step-down unit from Intensive Care was called to the ER to manager my mother's care:

-----This nurse killed my mother with morphine.

-----I guess, she and the rest of the tired folk thought that it was time for my other to die...

When a dying woman, a lifetime resident of Latrobe -- gasps out "Pittsbrugh. Pittsbrugh. Pittsbrugh" we all can be sure:

-----Latrobe's hospital is a death trap.

My story of a parent being killed by morphine has been corroborated by two other lifeling residents of Latrobe, who lost their parents the same way.
