Why is it that Intercounty has their little meetings on Friday at ten AM and make sure they are out of the meeting by 2 in the afternoon? The only members that can attend then are the unemployed. Do they do that crap on purpose? They make sure that more than half of their members can't attend. Maybe alot of people don't even want to be there, but they should have the opportunity, if this is truly a member Co op.
Sure doesn't look very honest to me!

don't know who licked the red off of your sucker, but I think the people at Intercounty are wonderful. Try dealing with Ameren in St. Louis!

Intercounty has had their annual meeting during
the day for years. It has always been during the
day.

Yeah, I know. I"ve been here for years, and have yet been able to go to one, though I would have liked to, because they always have them during the day. That's what I am talking about. If it's a co-op, why not pick a time when more members could attend? I know it's a big deal for them to have to do it after hours, or on a weekend, but it's one day a year. Why not manage to be when people have the opportunity to attend and hear what's going on? I recognize that they send out the little proxy ballots, but if you don't have the opportunity to listen in on the meeting, what is the point of voting? I won't vote for someone or something that I know nothing about.

What difference does it make how the company in St. Louis is like? This is the one WE have. This is not a big city company, this is supposedly a co-op.

I am thinking that alot of people would complain if they were hung with a new rope because it wasn't the right color or texture.

Intercounty does an amazing job. I have dealt with several co-ops in the past and they are by far the best. "Member of" what exactly do you have to bitch about other than the time of their meetings?

Intercounty management is fooling all of you! Dwayne and Lisa have been having an affair since 2001 and everyone knows. I know a girl that works there. She is keeping a file with photos, dates, invoices, paid lunches for those 2 with the members money, so when the board of directors gets balls enough to dismiss them, there will be no questions. There is a policy at Intercounty that affairs are forbidden. Both will be fired. is management exempt?

What is this friend being paid to do that she has time to spy on other employees? Maybe she needs to be let go and save the money she is being paid.

Stacee, many people are hurt when false stories are told. Dwayne is a wonderful person and minister. Please be careful with your gossip. Innocent people could be hurt.

I think Intercounty should have their meetings on saturday so that more people can attend. I also would like to go but can't because I cant get off work. Maybe they do it during the week so they don't have to feed as many people...

That's just my whole gripe. I would like to be able to attend, but can't, because of work schedules. As a member of the co-op, I'd just like to be a part of it. They take sizeable amount of money from me each month, which I use the electricity for and don't have a complaint about. I pay it every month on time. But I would like to be present every once in awhile. I couldn't care less about being fed. I'm sure they are as wonderful as any large company with a monopoly for a necessity, but what has that to do with making the meeting actually available to the members? They are the one's that put it in the paper as though it's a big deal. If it's such a big deal, make it at a time that the majority of members would be able to attend.

For those of you that are concerned that you missed something , Let me assure you that you missed nothing . The food wasn't that great and for the past 2 years the prize givaway has been less than fair to say the least , How you ask well if your going to have a random ticket draw the first rule of thumb is to see to it that all of the tickets for the draw are the same color and the same shade of that color last year the tickets were red and blue and this year they were light and dark blue and there weren't very many light blue tickets in there and to top it all off the girl drawing the tickets was looking at the color of the tickets she was drawing . So needless to say most of the people holding the light blue tickets were shit out of luck I probably will attend next year and hopefully Intercounty will have the same color of tickets for every one OH!! and here is a thought why not have a person or persons from audience draw the winning tickets

Well, at least no one is complaining about their service....I believe that's their main responsibility and not to make sure all tickets are the same darn color or who draws it out. Geesh! LOL

Blimp, You must of had a dark blue ticket !!!! All I am saying is they need to keep it fair or stop the drawings altogether and trust me I am not the only person who feels this way I am just the only person who has said anything

Maybe Intercounty should stop these meetings all together since so many cannot attend! I dont agree with the "affair" Stacee is talking about, she should not mention it unless she seen it personally!! Intercounty does a fine job with keeping their customers electric and their prices as well.
