Review: Genesis Italian Restaurant

As we arrived on a Wednesday night an hour before closing we were told to seat ourselves so we chose a table that would accommodate a spot for our child's highchair. Our waitress promptly took our drink order and tried to take our food order when she returned but we had yet to have been given menus.
The complementary garlic bread had a texture I would expect out of a CiCi's or Mr. Gatti's and the stuffed mushroom appetizer was drowned in a cream tomato sauce and had a tough texture that you would get from microwaved food, which our waitress denied when I asked about the bread and appetizer being made fresh.
My wife ordered the Tour of Italy and I ordered the Mahi Mahi Classico. My wife complained of dry Chicken Parmesan and that the linguine and Alfredo sauce seemed like it was bought at a wholesale outlet and was unflavorful. My fish came with steamed vegetables and lemon soaked artichoke. The fish had the texture of the smoked variety though the pasta was cooked well yet still tasted strongly of lemon.
In the end we were both unimpressed but on a good note atleast the sweet tea was good if you put, yes, lemon.
