Liberty trustee's acts could renew rift with Powell

Conflict between Powell and neighboring Liberty Township is nothing new in this part of Delaware County .

Great! More lawsuits! The township is bankrupt and these people are proposing this bs? Guzzo should resign. She is an embarrassment. Everytime she opens her mouth it costs us township residents millions. Mann and Sybert are not any better as they go along with all of this. This latest Guzzo proposal hurts Olentangy schools and homeowners. Olentangy needs a large commercial base for future tax purposes. By limiting commercial development, you reduce commercial school taxes and require the further raising of homeonwers' taxes. Guzzo's proposal would prohibit any future Graters, CVS, and City BBQ size buildings.

Obviously if you own large quantity of land in Liberty Township you are ticked at Guzzo. If however, you are a homeowner, you appreciate the fact she is actually doing what all elected officials are supposed to do. That is stand up for every single voter and not just those who put money in your political campaign coffers. The majority of people moved here to get away from the big boxes. Do you think anyone here, other than developers, want this area to turn into a Morse Road complex. Steitz, you need to get real.

I am a taxpaying resident in both the city of Powell and Liberty Township. This issue is about the over development of our area. Olentangy is a huge district. They are not depending on a new CVS size building in Powell to support them and we don't need any more drug stores, gas stations, banks, fast food or ice cream stores. There is plenty of room in the Olentangy district for a Target or Walmart somewhere else. The city of Powell wants the tax money. Let's not pretend it's for the good of the residents, please.
