He took his own life. He is not with his family.

I'm sure God will forgive him. God is kind and will know how this man suffered.

You, Sir,(or Madam) are disgusting. Compassion is called for in this case, not judgement. And in no case are YOU qualified to judge, anyway.

God, that is so sad to hear!

I remember thinking he might do that after hearing the story on the news the night it happened.

Although I am not a suicidal person, I have to put myself in his shoes and can't help but wonder if I would be able to live knowing that my actions - accidental or otherwise - caused the deaths of my loved ones.

Lord knows, he must have been in the deepest pits of depression after that awful night.

God bless the remaining family as they deal with yet another tragedy.

Indeed. Judge not lest ye be judged (Matthew 7:1). Why is it that the sanctimonious types can't see their behavior is in violation of this?

My father killed himself too. When I was meeting with the pastor afterwards, planning the funeral, he told me that he couldn't preach about my father being in Heaven because the Bible said that he was not. I was very upset about that. Since then, I have done lots of heart breaking research and I have found that he spoke the truth. Maybe the pastor was wrong, maybe not. We will not really know until we get there ourselves. I do, however, hope to see my dad's smiling face in Heaven.

Glad to know that God's name on Earth is Tigger. Tigger is is the heavenly judge and decides whose name is written in the Book of Life.

Now I can pray to Tigger for all my needs. Hey Tigger, come over and help my family with our financial troubles and my daughter who is terminally ill. In Tigger's name, Amen.

Your "pastor" is an imbecile.

Moreover, these last two sentences are quite telling. You're just a moronic TROLL looking to stir the pot on an already emotional issue.

If you truly were in the situation that you claim, and if you truly believe the last two sentences you wrote, you would not have said, "He took his own life. He is not with his family," in your first post.

Tigger, where is your faith in God? Don't let one pastors words interfer with your belief in God. Think happy thoughts and have faith. The Pastor didn't know all your father thoughts and reasons for doing what he did, but I can tell you that God knew and he's the one making the judgement call. Maybe if you pray hard enough God or your father will send you a little message:)

If he was a Christian, he is with his family. It does not say anywhere in the Bible that you have to die on a "good day" to go to heaven. God is full of grace and wisdom. Only He knew this man's heart.

Taking one's own life is in the Bible, for what happened here I send my thoughts to all that lost someone,
read this,
http://www.gotquestions.org/suicide-Bible-Chr...

I am not the one to decide, I only know what I have read of the Bible, and I am not brave enough to take my own life.
Guess we all don't know until our time of death.
Suicide won't be the cause of my death, that is taking a life even if your own.
These answers will come to us after our death.

I had a minister tell me that my dog would not be in heaven, because they have no souls, a couple of days after she was hit by a car. I was about 7 or 8 at the time, but decided that just because some folks claim to be authorities on things, they don't really know any more than the rest of us, necessarily. Some things we just won't know until we get there ourselves.

God Bless you and your family - giving you the strength to get through all this, and the peace of heart to bear it all.

If you've ever looked into the eyes of your beloved dog, you'll see that so-called minister was wrong, dead wrong.
