Oh, and a bit more...
The reason you see so many more Puerto Ricans on welfare is that is simple: Comfort is the fuel of mediocrity. When Latinos of developing nations, like most of Mexico, come here without a green card, they have to struggle to make it. They develop a stronger work ethic and an appreciation for the little they earn. Imagine you were to tell everyone in underdeveloped countries that they can come here with a green card and sign up for welfare...heh, ain't that a scary ass thought.

One time some Irish folk tried to move into my family villiage. We would have none of that mixing with our blood. My niece-mother-sister-wife refused to date the one Irishman.

The mafia isn't just on the streets. In parts of this country, they are in the Ciy Halls and Courts, also. The GOP has a better record going after them. Don't expect too much from Eric Holder.

No, you're all wrong --the country in its entirety is now run and ruled by the Kenyans..Get used to it bro's. The Bronx is simply the Septic Tank on the way to the Cesspool known as Manhattan.

#1, Crack is not meant to be smoked unless you Ricans found a new way to consume the substance that all of you are so familiar with. As a matter a fact, I recall that in the 1970s and 1980s during the crack epidemic Puerto Ricans where the #1 crack consumers in the City and ironically enough it was those Dominican drug rings who supplied you Boricuas (or whatever your calling yourselves nowadays) with the said substance among others. Actually your Dominican brothers (yes I went there cause in the eyes of the world you are all the same) thrived off of your people, you were their #1 costumers.

#2, Stop acting so high and mighty because the Puerto Rican community has been around for 70 years yet a Mexican who arrived yesterday (or your Dominican drug supplier for that matter) is more likely to even graduate High School than most of your compadres probably cause you all are so nusy "smoking" crack. As far as the rest of society is concerned you are all just uncle Sam's toe nails, or I could be wrong, Maybe the people think of you all as Mexicans with citizenships which I think is more accurate.

Irish, Puerto Ricans or Dominicans - Who rules the Bronx?

I have lived in the Bronx for 25 years until moving to Brooklyn, I love the Bronx, it is my life but we all must grow up at some point correct. I know this borough inside and out and I can tell you that neither of the groups mentioned rules anything.

The few Irish families that live in the East and North Bronx are well off but as a group they have abandoned the borough.

the Dominican community has a decent number of businesses ranging anywhere from restaurants, supermarkets and their bodegas are on every corner, they have been the largest group of students in most Bronx colleges and universities for a good amount of time and it seems as if many of the long time Dominican residents from the 60s and 70s are leaving the West Bronx for the East and are being replaced by newer Dominican boat people from Upper Manhattan so everyones seems to be moving up a bit, they also seem to be good in numbers but too many of them are drug dealers and many are unemployed, illegal or just poor.

http://vivirlatino.com/2010/11/04/the-future-...

As for the Puerto Rican community, this link above shows that even though Puerto Ricans have been here since the 1940s and although the BX borough president is PR (which I think these borough president jobs should be discontinued cause they are rather pointless) they still manage to have a higher % of poverty and lower % of education and employment than both the Dominican community (who arrived in the 1960s) and the Mexicans who are just getting here, so imagine how those figures would look in the Bronx where Latinos are 10x poorer. It seems to me that most Puerto Ricans would rather sit and gamble in front of Bodegas and drink Mexican beer all day instead of looking for a job which just proves that they are all a waste of space. Reality is that all Puerto Ricans have in NY are just numbers, other than that they are useless leeches that are here clog the welfare system before the Mexican get into all the fun.

And Mexicans are two new and hold no weight, but I am curious to see if they are actually smarter here in NY than their Puerto Rican and Dominican counterparts of the past and as for African Americans, them 'running' shouldn't even be in the question.

I believe its the Italians that 'run' the BX. They basically call the shots up there, they own everything, they have the higher income, educational attainment, better employment among other things. Arthur Avenue is Little Italia and they have the most time here.

So to keep it simple. Its the Italians that call the shots, they are the the
ones collecting rent from the Blacks, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans and Dominicans.

there is a reason the Bronx is referred to as "El Condado de la Salsa" and it sure as hell has nothing to do w/Italians, Irish and even less, Dominicans. The Puerto Ricans make up the largest number of inhabitants in the Bronx - still. We are here, our culture is alive and separate from Dominican culture. We opened the doors for all spanish-speaking groups - dealt w/the racism of the italians and irish and now with the hypocrisy of the Dominicans

Puertorriquenos opened the doors for all spanish-speaking people that came after us. We've been there, done that and now have moved on. You're absolutely correct, Elnenebx, we're still around but many of us have moved on to bigger and better things. It's their turn now, the difference is that they have it much easier than Puertorriquenos did when they first arrived in the America. The illegals, many Dominicans, Mexicans, Africans, have it better because we paved the way for them. PUERTORRA HASTA LA MUERTE!!!!

Law abiding Bronx families lose Mayors race. New Anti Business, anti law and order far far left of reason Mayor to have a devastating impact on JOBS and the quality of life for struggling minoritys and the hard working middle class in all Five Boroughs. Tragic times ahead.
