This is a heinous crime and I do feel for the family. However, I don't believe that their tears are genuine. The sort of places that Mike Weisner was working in was his fault, not others. He knew what he was getting into. He never told about a group of guys that actually dragged a man out of Fusion and killed him. Why now? Maybe because a group of these people are quite famous and he got hush money? A man who choses to educate himself would have no need for working in those sort of bars. The types of bars he was working in just goes to show what sort of honorable man he really wasn't.
Another thing the media never looked into is the guy that Damanti assualted in November 2004. The media never did publicize WHY that guy was assaulted by Damanti. Nor that the fact that he abuses children, giving him a history of violence himself. Damanti was merely protecting someone, and Weisnar didn't testify to that. Something that Weisnar should have done the night that the guy in 2004 was assualted by Damanti. It is the employees of an establishment to take care of situations, not patrons, and Fusion and Weisnar was guilty of that.
The soap opera gets even deeper. If that guy from 2004 was so brain damaged then he wouldn't be out drinking and getting drunk at his "usual" establishments like Antoinette's on N. Brighton Ave. in KC. And still causing the same problems he caused in 2004 and when he was abusing kids in 2000. Public records work wonders people. Now that's investigative journalism.

Thank goodness someone finally has the story more right than its ever been presented in the media. No one has the right to take anothers life and I dont condone it. But the media never got this story right- and with the way Waisner was living his life, the way he was treating others and-the fact that he was an informant, he had to realize something like this would happen sooner or later. Waisner wasn't killed because he was a witness at the 2004 assault at the Peanut-because Waisner wasnt even THERE!! Damanti was only protecting others from Waisner's demented wrath of crap- sticking his nose where it didnt belong and threatening peoples lives. He thought he was above the law because of being an informant and having "Clay County" on his side..But wrong is wrong and when you play the game the way he was bad stuff will happen everytime. It's just sad that he Damanti allowed his buttons to be pushed to the point that they did- and that the justice system is so random and so about money. There have been many worse crimes committed against innocent people, let alone a piece of crap person, where the convicted person serves a lot less time than life.

you guys should be ashamed of yourselves. that is my uncle you are talking about. eventhough he was not the most outstanding guy doesnt meean he deserved to get murdered. i seen my father cry for the first time ever at my uncles funeral. so next time you say my families tears are not genuine, think about how you would feel if someone murdered one of your loved ones out of cold blood.

Okay, I JUST found out about this. I knew Damanti years back and I can honestly say I am just shocked. I got details from a great source and just became sickened by the whole deal. I don't think two wrongs make a right, and Damanti deserves to be sitting where he is for taking this as far as he did. But it is really sad when vigilante type justice has to take place due to our corrupted society. Waisner was a piece of crap, sorry to the family, but ya know we all have at least one. Karma is a beoyotch and he got what someone felt he deserved. By the same token, so did Damanti. Again, just sickened and shocked by the news... but c'mon.. people like above. Oooh... look up my name and find me kinda comments? Are you any better? How bout smarter? Be careful what you ask for.

That is my father your talking about you stupid stupid fu#k!!! My father is a man who believed in doing right no matter who it pissed off. If you think it's right to beat the shit out of someone because you were told to, i hope you meet the same fate as my father. My father was trying to protect his friends, so why don't you get the story straight. I wish i could meet you face to face so you could look me in the eyes and tell me that my children deserve not to have there grandfather. My father was not an informent, as it was no secret what he did. He helped demanti out of dwi's he and gave him a place to live. You have no idea what your even talking about. He owned the bar he worked at, have you never been to a bar? is it so demoralizing to own one. He never worked at fusion. I was at the trial asshole, demanti beat the guy because he was called over there by some friends and was told to kick the guy out, that's demanti's story. Then he goes around telling anybody that said anything he would kill.you don't even know what the fuck you talking about....

You are like so many others. You are blind to fact. obama follows are like you. Just shoot off their mouths and know little. Wrong is wrong. not all the words can ever justify that Damanti is a coward. When you shoot someone in the back you are yellow. Just like the people who write bad and are too cowardly to actually discuss the facts.
Did my brother had faults? We all do. So by your definition you deserve the same as my brother. So hopefully one day you will achieve the same treatment. To know a coward and defend him only proves how low in life you and the others have sank. People like you and the others are examples of why some should die at birth.

It's a shame the Waisner family knew so little about Mike Waisner. But maybe it helps them deal with what happened and I guess they are entitled to that solitude. Mike Waisner never gave Brian Damanti a place to live or helped him out of dwi's. I think you have Brian Damanti mixed up with Mike Burns. Jamie just be glad your dad's grandkids never really knew him and can have good memories that you will furnish them of him.

Okay! You knew Mike and Dimanti better than both their families?
Hmmmm makes me think? Not really makes me pray for your demented mind to condemn- and how dare you attack the Waisner family-judge lest you be judged yourself. Oh, and how do you know that he didnt help Dimanti out of DUI's? How do you know that? How do you know that? Sounds like you "think" you know. But JUSTICE WAS SERVED. Leave the Waisner family ALONE!
