Bad crash on ky 910

Russell Springs, KY

A gate truck overturned earlier near Teddy Hill. I thought they were going to work on this junk road? The pavement is falling in and guardrail a leaning from these heavy trucks using this narrow highway. Thoughts and prayers for those involved sounds bad:/

A few years ago i was in a relationship with a gate hauler and some times he made me go with him on gate trips . Being on 910 or 49 in a gate truck is scary . Big trucks should not be allowed on 910 or 49 or any narrow road .

Me and my child witnessed the wreckage from 2 bad wrecks on that same road this month. She is scared to death, literally, of taking this road to see her mam ma in Somerset. We will find a different way I suppose maybe through Russell Springs? These semi trucks need to use 127, not 910. Why are so many trucks starting to use 910? GPS? Less miles? Any suggestions? Ill personally be speaking with county officials over this problem.

It's a fast way to get to 80 . 127 to 80 is a long way to go to 80 . People need to learn to watch for big trucks on 910 .

Was not too fast for the ones had a wreck now was it? I think GPS sends them across Green River Valley Road from 206 to 127 also would be fast way if it did not have a river to drive through and get hung up in.

County surveyer Richard Montgomery has supported and spear headed a campaign to improve 910 and 80 to either Nancey Exit or the exit the state will build just south of Windsor. These trucks have very rite to use any and all our highways and this is usually for local industry. Support his idea, he has worked hard along with local officials and residents. The so called Moumtain Justice group from northern ky is said to be ready to protest this project because it will as they say 'trash the land'. This is not true, look at the road it's pitiful! Many use this route. Lets invest in it and improve safety and our commute.

we crossed from 127 to 80 over 910 yesterday and 3 times, we were nearly hit by the trailers behind pick-up trucks we met. the pick-ups hug the center line and evidently don't realize, or don't care that their trailer wheels are even further on the line because of the angle.

i'm almost ready to install a dashboard camera like the cops use, they aren't that much.

you hit me, i sue you, wait and see

Its best to put in a dash cam. We use one on car and in gate truck when on long or short hauls and I suggest any truckers take this step. As for 910 I think the road is simply giving way to its age. The banks are eroding, Teddy Hill is sloping and even after several expensive repairs over the years, its sinking again. What we need is dynamite. The state needs to address the problems on this road and with time we have watch as the issues have only gotten worst and more sad. A major fix is needed, at least maybe 2 or 3 miles at a time as the funds become available by the state. Also, a new 2 or 4 lane highway with shoulders from 127 to Nancy Parkway Exit? and limited access points could be built with toll machines at those exits, this would help pay for the road 50 cents or a dollar at a time. Wild idea just throwing something out there because no one else has. Our company plans to run all south and east bound trucks via 910, 80, and parkway beginning this winder meaning more trucks and more wear on the aged roads.
