I recently went to Casey County Hospital with trouble breathing and pretty severe symptoms just to have a doctor tell me you just have a bug or something!! OR SOMETHING??? I believe it is their job to find out what is wrong and fix the problem!! I spent a total of ten minutes through the entry process and getting out i went back he put his stethoscope on my back and said "Sounds good probably just a bug or something" 5 minutes later the nurse came with my Paperwork and I was out. I am tired of this Hospital and its Incompetent staff. They get paid good to do a good job they are not working with cars or furniture they are dealing with people. You would think they would do their job better. If you have experienced similar situations and are unsure how to have something done about doctors not doing their job then I will explain it in grave detail. Here is the link to get the forms http://kbml.ky.gov/grievances.htm All you have to do is download the grievance form fill it out have it notarized at any local notary and send it off. Lets do something about crappy doctors KBML starts a thorough and formal investigation with the licensing bureau. If the investigation does find legitimate claims they can go so far as to take the doctors licence.

Thank you

As long as they have such shitty Doctors as Dr. Prince in there you will never get any help out of that nemergency room,They are not capable of treating a commom cold.Been there twice, but never again. And why are they running our ambulance service to Danville, and hagan memorial, when we have better hospitals at somerset, and Campsbellsville?Seems The Judge Exec Ronald Wright and the fiscal court shoud be changing Hospital Board members.

I went to the hospital one Sunday not long ago. I could not walk from the dizziness, really sick to my stomach. I was told it was a sinus infection. He never listened to my chest, never checked my ears and I too was out really quick. Well, my insurance will not pay because he just put down a sinus infection. Well my doctor found something much worse, I can't remember the name, but it had to do with the bones in my ears. Now I am out a hospital bill because they would not change their findings. I too am ticked off.

Ok, here is the thing....the EMERGENCY room is for EMERGENCIES!! It is not a doctor's office, it should not be used for ear infections, sinus infections, etc.... It is for life/death such as stroke, heart attack, etc. It is for accidents such as broken bones, cuts etc. All of the above mentioned cases should have been taken to a Doctor's office, not the ER.

Why don't all these ambulance call take their patients to the Drs office instead of the emergency room.No doctors office is open, and that is why you go to the emergency room.Dizzence, upset stomach, vomiting, all this goes along with a heart attack,I happen to know because i had three heart attacks, before i had open heart sugery. You should'nt take any illness for granted.I took my wife to the emergency room because of a burning senation in the throat, her heart stopped on the exam table, and they put her on life support system, and flew her to St. Joseph East. That is why i say the Doctors should give you a good exam, before they say go home and take a asprin.Since they are going to send you a bill for the exam any way.

Well then don't be pissed when the ER Dr. tells you that your dizzyness, upset stomach, and vomiting is all related to a virus, after ruling out an MI, which is true in 90% of the cases. Then go home and take your asprin, and pay your $700 ER bill and your $200 Ambulance bill. Unless of course you have the KY gold card, in which case, the rest of us will pay your bill.

I'm a 40yr.retired Railroad Engineer, with the best insurance you can get,no body pays my way, but i beleive in any doctor doing his job,If they were any good at Casey hospital they would't be sending their patients to other hospitals,They need more schooling, and less patients.

Sending patients to other hospitals has nothing to do with how good they are at Casey County Hospital. They send patients to other hospitals because they need a higher level of care, or services not offered at CCH. As far as schooling, if someone is a Doctor, they have obviously had the same amount of schooling as any other Doctor. They may need some adjustments in personality, but more school is not gonna help that. If someone has a true emergency, by all means that is what the ER is for. I just hate it when someone comes in with a toothache (it's not a dentist office), and then complains when the doc won't give them pain pills, or when someone comes in at 2 in the morning with a kid and says they have a fever of 101 (give them Tylenol, if they aren't better by morning call your family doc, that's what they are for).

Why want you just agree that they have the worst drs.around over there that have been run out of other hospitals, and states, and are just lazy, and get peaved off when they have to be woke up to see a patient. And any kid that has a fever of 101 needs medical attention.

I have never said Casey County Hospital had good Doctors, I simply stated the need for people to understand the purpose of an Emergency Room. Since I know the difference in an illness and an emergency, I have never been inside Casey County ER, therefore I admit I know nothing about their docs. I do however have enough common sense to know that a child with a temp of 101 needs Tylenol, if that doesn't work, or if fever keeps coming back, then you should seek medical attention. In the form of a family doc or a pediatrician, not an ER doc.

No, That's not why send send people else. I had a doctor from another hospital tell me that Casey sends people to other hospitals is because they don't know what they are doing so they send them elsewhere.
