Let's see if we can list all of the unsolved murders in Casey County and if they are still being investigated.

Lets not, this just might bring up some bad memories for the families involved in this topic. I just feel that it's a bad idea.

i was not meaning to bring up any bad memorys for anyone and if i did im truly sorry. i was an honest comment to just how many unsolved murders they are in casey county and is anyone still investigating them or not. and i do know it is not a subject alot of people like to talk about and im sorry if it bothers others but we had a family friend that was murdered here in the county and it is still unsolved and i just dont think it is right that it was never solved. so i was just curious as to just how many unsolved cases they are in the county.

It does make ya think, I for one have thought about it, My cousin was killed (UNSOLVED), and a Family Friend was killed (UNSOLVED) all we ever hear from the cops in Casey County is we are still working on the case and we have leads....yeah whatever!

If a family member has been murdered and it is unsolved....or solved for that matter....trust me>>>>>you arent reminding them....they certainly remember it already. This could possibly be a good discussion as long as it isnt filled with false accusations and innuendos. It could lead ---to a lead??? Highly unlikely, but anything is possible...asking questions and jogging memories may lead to something ...who knows. No problem was ever solved by ignoring it.

most of us around here either have lost someone or know about someone who is deceased.theres always rumors and stories some are usually true.but casey c. doesnt want the publicity of this being a murderous town thats why alot of these deaths are accidental or unsolved.thers no money in solving murders.plus look at what our police force is compelled of compared to other citys surronding this one

OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT DO SEEM TO FORGET ABOUT UNSOLVED MURDERS BUT I BELIEVE THEY ARE UNSOLVED DUE TO THE UNTRAINED LAW ENFORCEMENT NOT POLITICS. EVERY TIME YOU HEAR ABOUT A MURDER HERE INSTEAD OF IT BEING ROPED OFF AND THE CRIME SCENE UNDISTURBED UNTIL IN CAN BE GONE OVER BY PROFESSIONALS, EVERYONE AND THEIR COUSIN TRAMPS ALL OVER THE CRIME SCENE UNTIL POSITIVE FORENSIC EVIDENCS IS IMPOSSIBLE I ALSO DO NOT BELIEVE THEY TAKE ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO BE PROCESSED. SO MAYBE WE NEED BETTER TRAINED OFFICERS. BUT AS FAR AS US BEING BEHIND OTHER COUNTIES, THATS HOGWASH JUST CHECK OUT RUSSELL PULASKI ADAIR TAYLOR OR MARION COUNTIES UNSOLVED ITS JUST AS BAD SO I BELIEVE IT GOES BACK TO NOT ENOUGH FORENSIC TRAINING. JUST MY THOUGHTS

Yup that is what happened with the Family Friend, after he was discovered dead, not tape nothing, people going in and out of the place like flies
gosh do these cops not watch CSI or any of the crime shows....they could learn alot from the TV...or use a little common sence you would think

I would like to send my thoughts and prayers to those family members and friends of these vicitms. My family is from Tucson Az. 11 years ago my sister was murdered in Tucson. This case is still unsolved and most likley always will be. This event destroyed our lives and for years and years I felt no one cared. I would just like to tell everyone that your loved one would want you to be happy and have a full life. I am sorry that these cases are unsolved. It is very very tragic. In time, things work out as they should. I guess, that's what I tell myself everyday.

back in about 78 -82 there were two children Rebecca and Wayne Mason there in casey co got killed and got coverd up big time! the mother is marlyn mills luttrell @ the time was going with billy mills, tell me how a mother could live across the street from the emergency room walk past the emergency room with a bag tied around the little boys head to a clinic with him dead without ripping the bag of first, and the officials at the time called it suicied, when he was only 5yrs old!and then about a yr and half later becky which was the sister comitted suicied with 37 darvons in her stomach, give me a break !after all it was all around townthat the mother always said that the kids would die before the father would ever see them again, meece and some others had alot to do with it covering it up! i know for fact!its still open at ky state police but nothing has ever became of it i wish people like this would vanish off the face of the earth explain all of this!!!!!!!!!

I agree that the local police arent very well trained to investigate murders. I also realize that the training is very expensive, and it is really not feasible to expect small towns to train detectives and investigators. Most budgets barely allow minimum training, and a decent wage for a bare minimum of officers.....uhhhhh we cant afford the well qualified dudes.
But what I wish would happen is this....When big bubba>>>the local po-po... gets the call of a body...crime scene...whatever. I wish that he would have the good grace and good judgement...to just rope it off and call the big dogs. Just rope it off and guard it until someone more qualified shows up. I almost look at it like a family doctor trying to perform neurosurgery....He is excellent in his field. But he is a pretty shitty neurosurgeon. He also has enough intelligence to realize this.
So my hope is that if any local cops are reading this....Please have the humility to step back when you need to.
