Casey County

#1 Oct 16, 2008
As the mom of two teenagers, I think it's important that parents are aware of who the dealers are. I am not that familiar with topix... from what I see it's mostly gossip, but hey, sometimes gossip can pay off... it helps those of us that really care to know who to keep our kids away from. No childs name should be printed anywhere...because they are minors. I don't think people should be so quick to take up for the families of these dealers. If a mother stands by and watches her husband... father of her children commit crimes, dealing drugs, knowing that it will have an impact on the kids someday, doesn't that make her guilty of something to. How will she convince the kids that drugs are bad when they see their father dealing with them everyday? Although some pity might be placed on the families, if they sit there and let it go on and do nothing about it... then there is only so much pity you can feel for them. I think it would be nice if the county would form some type of neighborhood watch and try to help put a stop to drug trafficing and drug use...Casey County has over 3000 post on topix, so clearly there are plenty people with time on their hands that they could devote to something this important.

I think they should make all convicted drug dealers wear signs saying they are CONVICTED DRUG DEALERS...even after they get out of prison as part of probation...

Exactly! That's just what I was thinking. The sex offender list seems to be pretty effective, people has access to them, and you can watch your children more closely, I also think a drug ealer list would help a lot.

A registry for drug offenders similiar to the one for sex offenders would be a wonderful thing. I know I am very concerned about sex offenders living around my children, but I also am just as concerned about the drug problem. Actually, the drug abuse is probably what led to the sex offenses a lot of the times. The police can only do their jobs. It is time the people of this county stand up and give these guys a hard time. I don't feel like it is wrong to protect our children from this mess... even if it means "ratting" on the next door neighbor. It might even save someone's life. Could even be the life of the drug dealer that you are saving or their families.

The way the registry is handled is a joke. Only the tip of the iceberg is on there..........only those who have been convicted and actually done time. More often than not, the perp pleads down to a misdemeanor, gets diverted into a program and is off the radar.

The courts are overflowing and many victims do not want to go through an embarassing trial so the perp gets to plea down. It's a sick joke. Have a good weekend.

I agree, but first we must get them caught, and the Courts have got to stop slapping them on the hands, and turning them loose to sell more drugs, When they are caught they should be made to tell where they got the drugs before being released. We must stop the suppliers before we will ever get this problem umder control.I just hope our County Attorney and Judges read these topics.

so going to prison, losing your home, family, bank account, and other things isnt payment enough.plus being a convicted felon for the rest of your life.first of all why are your kids out buying drugs, where do they get that kind of money, and where are the parents at during this time.as people we all are responsible for the things our kids do.some children see it some are exposed to it.so its no ones fault except ours the parents.i have children and they arent doing drugs because im involved in their lives every second possible.

How about we make you wear a sign that says, "Stupid Drug Dealer, can't stop selling drugs to kids." Let me just say this, it will be our business. When it comes to my kids, it will ALWAYS be my business!!!

when it comes to your kid? what kind of drug dealer as you call them sell to little kids.why would an adult sell to some one with piggy bank change.you have got the wrong impression of someone selling drugs.most of them do it to support a habit.some make many but very few.so your child hangs around adults that sell drugs and its the dealers fault that your kids buys.great way to pass the blame.maybe brian wright will give you a job on his rat squad

U don't know me. For one, I don't sell dope, for two, anybody who does would be stupid to sell to kids. If a grown person want to do them, thats their god given right. Lets put a sign on u that says" I can't mind my own business and think i'm better than everyone else". Snobby fuk!

I agree with these writers. Anyone who sells drugs deserves all they get and they don't get enough. There a millions of lives ruined every day, from babies on up. Shame on anyone who sells drugs. You will one day get your justice

so if i sell drugs and get caught i should get prison time but if i deciede to rat then thats okay for me to get off scott free.just because i gave someone else up or others.no thats not right or fair.but before you solve your drug problem in casey co then there should be real laws that apply to everyone.not drug court for some or probation for this one or that one.why would someone want to quit selling drugs when after they get caught they get out of it by snitching, get free drugs on every C.I run, plus paid.thats more than they already have
