What does Casey county have to do with the topic or the fact that beer is being sold in Danville? You've lost me on that one. I realize the people of Casey voted against the local option sales, but what does that have to do with this topic? Just curious.

its the tax money that Liberty lost by the NO vote, the same NO vote people will go to danville and probably buy beer and eat/drink there.

Just bought some Guinness from the location across from the fairgrounds, and then popped into the health store next to it to buy some vitamins!

My god, living in this town is actually tolerable now.

Good things WILL come of this!

walmart sells beer in every county that is wet. The new one in Lawrenceburg has its own liquor store.

Well Im a former manager at the Nicholasville Walmart and they have sold beer for over 15 years. Also every Walmart in Lexington, Louisville, well any where it is legal to sell beer if there is a walmart, they sell beer.

I read that also but it said that the facility had to purchase a special license. I believe that the only places that you will be able to buy beer on Sunday will be in the restaurant, like Lexington. I dont think that they will jump right into Sunday sales.

They might, Sunday sales doesn't take a special election of any kind. The city council just passes the ordinance. Right after the election they decided all the rules and ordinances concerning selling alcohol and Sunday sales was one of 'em.

Now, you do need a special license, but they're giving them out to package and beer stores. You'll be able to buy beer and liquor after 1pm, just like Lexington.

I always thought it was so silly that we here in Kentucky can sit around on a Sunday watching NFL games sponsored by American beer companies, yet because of the geographic location where we live we cannot buy that same beer like 300 million other Americans.

I think the sunday sales apply to the package stores, too. they were selling yesterday, so I'd think it's pretty much set. Love it!
