Why don't people just wait and see. Everyone thinks they have to know everything that goes on. I'm sure when it's open you will know it and know what it will look like if u go. That's the problem with this whole county. Everyone's so nosey

Please let's don't be so negative on this, I really think they know what they are getting into. Everyone fuss because there is nothing here, now someone is trying and you've already started about it not working. Think positive!!!!!!!!!!

The building is one of the best in Liberty but I wonder how solid a business plan might be for a movie theater. Walk ins are still closing all over the US, drive ins are running on pure nostalgia.
The obvious threats like Netflix and RedBox are keeping people at home and the less obvious threats like bedbugs (research this, it's put huge places out of business in areas that have thousands per square mile, Casey has 34 people per square mile) in theaters are posing huge challenges for long time theater owners that long ago paid off all their capital expenses.
Getting people out to do anything is nearly impossible, I see that in hobby clubs of all types.
The economy is bad, yes, but projections for the immediate and future are just horrifying. Beginning a business that is centered upon critical needs is more risky than it ever has been.
Even the library has to practically beg for free attendees, yes the movies are second run but with free popcorn, soda and seating, I'd be very dubious about needing to charge a few bucks to see what people can see in their living rooms for $2 a week.
Now if the new theater served beer and pizza........

If the Movie Theatre can be run like the AG/Expo Center it will stay open. it's Casey County, losing money is good business.

besides they spend their money remodeling the building it fails the City owns the building, it has been remodeled, Good business move for the City, a WIN WIN.
