Did anyone see Dr. Beeler discuss with Rand Paul about 60% of her patients being on Medicaid? If she did not like it, she could always take her practice where not so many of hr patients were on Medicaid. Why is she complaining?

She wasn't complaining about her patients being on medicaid, she was talking about Medicaid being cut to where people-kids wouldn't be able to get medical care.

you people are dumb.

as they said in olden days, apples don't fall too far from the tree. usually if they parents are, the kids be sure to follow.

i like the idea of making them pay something, even a copay. why give it to people completely free. i see so much wasted while others that don't get it can't afford to get.

keeping up welfare is going to suck the whole country dry.

I totally agree with that statement. However...some parents have learning diasabilities or were at a disadvantage as a child, and push to have their children work harder, and strive to be more successful, so they are not as "stupid" as they were probably called growing up.

To the Lazy part..I agree with that too. But the However on this situation is..Some children are in a single parent home, where the parent needs some help, bc one parent is an absent parent. Or, both parents are disabled and are doing the best they can to raise their child(ren). But I agree that their are those who are using the system just to be completely lazy and let everyone else support them and their family. And yes, it will eventually suck the country dry. I just dont think ALL people being on medicaid, food stamps, KChip, and the such should be called lazy or stupid for the few that are abusing the system. Their are some that actually need the system, and are trying to motivate their children to do better than they have.

Plus...if they would take half of the illegal Mexicans off of it, it would put a big surplus back into the program. Look at the statistics...49% of Medicaid and Food Stamp recipiants are Latino. And their husbands/boyfriends have jobs that dont have to pay taxes and send more money in a month than what our people see back to Mexico.

How do I apply?

Applications for Medicaid may be filed at your local Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) Office.

Note:To apply for KCHIP, please visit the website. At the time of application, applicants are asked to provide proof of:

Social Security Number; ProofofIdentity(drivers license); ProofofCitizenship (birth certificate); Health Insurance; Pregnancy (doctor statementverifying pregnancy and expected date ofdelivery), if applicable; Income Non-pregnant parents applying for Medicaid for themselves should bring proof of resources (last three months'bank statements, checking or savings accountstatements, life insurance polices, stocksand bonds). Having the required information available at the time of application will likely speed up the application processing.

Straight from the Ky medicaid website. Just checking facts!!

Fact of the matter is, if someone is here legally or illegally, and they work, they should have to pay taxes and be treated just like the rest of us.

Agreed!! Pointing fingers and ;placing blame is a waste of time. There are lazy people of all races taking advantage of the benefits that are there to help those who need it, not those that just want it

She is one of these republicans who run around gripping about big government, but when gov. Has something to give she and others don't mind charging it. If I gripped as much as most republicans I would not bill these programs. But these people all change when the money is flowing there way like they are against immigration reform but will be the first to hire illegals,, and before you say it I am not predjuiduse. But would like to see reform. Miss Beeler needs to come down too earth Personally I would go to no dentist in liberty they all suck. Or plain out judge people

I don't care about race, gender, sexual orientation, or political views. If you don't like the dentist, go somewhere else. Simple enough? And as for the taxes thing thats got your granny panties all in a bunch, I agreed with you. I'm white and I was born here just like everyone in my family up to the hundreds of years ago. Say something else to make yourself look stupid.

I'm a nurse, and I see plenty of people work very hard, and still qualify for K Chip for their kids. If not for that, they would have NO health care, including dental. I pay taxes, and will not complain about helping my fellow American...especially a child.(Some adults do need to be put to work though, I agree on that).
If we can support other countries, we can support our kids, here in the U.S. It'd also help, if we had more jobs with benefits. Minimum wage barely pays for gas to travel to work, and wear and tear/insurance/tags/license, on a car. Then, there's those pesky things like food, clothes, and school supplies. I thought that's what the big KY lottery funded. Yeah right! What a messed up state and country, we live in.
As for Medicaid paying well...it does not! Neither does Blue Cross though. Just some facts that I've learned by working with the insurers, the doctors, and the patients.
