Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.(NLT)

<quoted text>Where do you find the scripture that says to "love the sinner, but hate the sin"? Can you point me to that scripture please?
1 John 4:10-11 'In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.'

1 Corinthians 13:13 'So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.'

Proverbs 10:12 'Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.'

Jude 23 'Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.'

A couple more.

Romans 13:10 'Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God's law.'

1 John 3:15 'Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.'

We posted this 2 minutes apart. Great verse to explain that we should hate no one, only the transgression.

You are welcome. It's easier to let the Scriptures speak instead of ourselves. That's what God intended.

<quoted text>
an example of Jesus hating the sin while loving the sinner is in the verse, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8). Jesus Christ loved us before we even knew Him. He loved us even though we were sinners. But He knew sin would destroy us and He sacrificed Himself in our places. He hated sin because he could see how black and ugly it is. He loved us and could see that we were deceived in it. He loved the sinner so much that He died for him, because God cannot look on sin.
That doesn't answer my question now does it? I asked for a scriptural reference to your statement that said the bible said to love the sinner and hate the sin. I never asked for your "interpretation" of anything. Get back with me when you have an answer to my question.

This answers my question how? Quoting random scripture about love is irrelevant. I can quote many scripture which speak of hate. I'd rather not play that game. My question was straight forward and deserves an answer, not a reply filled with ambiguity.

I did NOT claim that what I said was 'Scripture' Altho is IS scriptural to love EVERYONE. That has been pointed out to you several times here. Also it is 'Scriptural' to hate sin...I think you might be somewhat confused here.

Quoting random scripture? The answer I gave came straight from God's word and your argumentative disposition can be summed up in this passage-

1 Timothy 6:3-4 '3 If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, 4 he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions,'

You WANT TO ARGUE. You don't care about honesty or anything that will give you a healthier and more spiritual outlook on issues plaguing this society.

Good day to you. I am finished trying to educate a fool by use of God's inspired Word.

The ignorance is overwhelming! gwnm...go have another session with your self-ordained, self proclaimed man of the cloth, who.....no doubt, has a direct line to God. You know only what you are told, what you are directed to do by man..........the Christian need to practice conversion continues to be a major plague on society. Are Christians the only player in this arena?

No, God judges you. He says homosexuality is an abomination. Look it up for yourself. BUT God is a merciful, forgiving God AND He DOES love you but NOT your sin. (which goes for all of us)
