This is a friendship thread, open to all who want to post. But if you come on here to fight or bully you will be reported and ignored. No foul language allowed!

Now a little information about me. I am a widow, who was married to the love of my life for most of my lifetime, so no I am not on the hunt for #2! I have grown children who live out of town, and I have a few sisters-no brothers.
How about you?

Hi pam. I too became a widow when I was in my 20s. I raised two children who are now grown and have children of their own. I have four beautiful grandkids. After seventeen years of the single life I remarried a man 10 years younger than me. It was not in my plan but it happened. lol

You must have read my mind. I was going to start a thread called "Shoot the breeze, not me." lol

Today I finished my quilt topper and bottom and took it to a place called "The Quilting Season" here in Michigan. It's much easier to have them stuff and stitch it together. Plus it's just as cheap.

Did I mention I'm 55 years young. Enough about me, how about someone else tell us about your wonderful self??

Good luck with your new thread ladies. I will honor your wishes and stay away from here due to my obvious inability to keep my smart mouth shut. I want Milee to know that I do respect her for being the polar opposite of me. Her willingness to sincerely take on the role of peacemaker will certainly make her a much richer person, karmically speaking, than me and those like me. Again, best of luck. I hope this place becomes and remains everything that the two of you desire and deserve.
You're nothing more than an emasculated feminized male, Jim. I actually thought you has a clue until I saw you sucking up to a bunch of feminazis.

I hope that, although this thread is just anonymous posters, that we in our real lives, reach out to each other in a constructive way to make our lives and all of humanity better. Friendship is a beautiful thing and should be shared openly. Thank you for sharing on this thread.

Love. It's just that simple.

The sun is a wonderful treat! Seems to help my outlook on life.
I too like getting out in my garden and flower beds. I bought some new seeds the other day and I am ready to start my peas and spinach. I know it is a little early, but a girls has got to dream. I am ready for some fresh tomatoes but we will have to wait on that. I have always been told you plant your potatoes on Good Friday, well that is in March this year (the 22nd) so we have a month to wait. I have read where you take a tomato cage and line with hay and plant the potatoes in the center with potting soil. I might try that then you don't have to dig them just lift the cage and break hay apart.
Well my family is here for the weekend and I am going to fix us a big rump roast, potatoes, carrotts, celery and onions and maybe make some homemade egg noodles. I also plan on making a lemon cake. Take care all. Peace.

“The sun,--the bright sun, that brings back, not light alone, but new life, and hope, and freshness to man--burst upon the crowded city in clear and radiant glory. Through costly-coloured glass and paper-mended window, through cathedral dome and rotten crevice, it shed its equal ray.”
― Charles Dickens, Oliver Twist

That's beautiful...

Hey Jim watcha drinkin' Pepsi??
By the way if you like your show you should Google "Mrs Browns Boys." I haven't laughed so hard since "The Last Thread" was at it's peak. Of course I had to get over the F bombs. But on your show you should be used to them. Hee!

Just plant Butterfly bushes. They really grow, are wonderful, and draw beautiful butterflies!!

They come in different colors. Just depends on what size plant/bush you want. I LOVE mine.

I have a white butterfly bush and the humming birds just love it! I did not pick the color, I would have much rather had a pink shade or purple. But I also have 3 lilacs of different shades.

Happy Sunday morning to everyone. The coffee is on. And I hope no one minds, I just want to give a quick wave to my friends on the OT Thread. Looks like they are having fun. And I truly want that for them.
Now butterfly bushes always reminds me of OT. KLM I didn't plant one of them either when we lived in Indianapolis. When OT passed I planted some simple easy to take care of flowers in a flower bed near my front porch. I can't think what they were called but they always reminded me of OT and Girlfriend. And I always smiled and cried when I planted them. I know, I know, I'm such a girl. lol

Pam you mentioned lilacs. Oh how I love the smell of lilacs. When I was in grade school, I remember picking them for my mom on my walk home from school. Yeah they were from some other ladies yard and I had to be careful not to get caught. lol Milee really was a good kid but you know kids will be kids. Har!

I can hardly wait for Spring. I live in a condo where they totally take care of the grounds. In the Spring, there are rows of trees with white blooms that are very pretty. Can't wait to see them. But I do miss my little flower bed that I had. I promised OT I would plant it for him when he passed. I planted those flowers every year in his memory until we moved and sold our house.

Anyone got any plans today? Mr Milee has the day off and asked me last night if I wanted to go to "Outback Steak House" this evening. Well duh!! I guess I have a date with my mate this evening. lol It's about time too! He works so much I hardly see him. I do however see his dirty clothes. I have an up close and personal relationship with them. Hee!
