no. NO! If a child falls in the so called term MILD retarded or LDS, learning disabitity, Union county does not offer support, nor are the teachers allowed to offer support, additional time, to those "slower learners". They let the parent be the teacher, an education I have not earned. The child is PASSED or OVERLOOKED, and more often, onced reached Middle school, developed social behavoral issues because NO ONE CARED ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!! Blame the kid who is different......they don"t know the difference anyway. My kid is better. Your kid is better. Who cares? Well, I care. Mrs. Ball cared and Ms Crawford cared enough to let me know, it would be "HER JOB" to give MY CHILD the help needed. Lberty schools are OK of those who are " GIFTED " especially in sports, but if you truly have spacial needs, forget it. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET IT IN UNOIN COUNTY. God bless the families who have no problems. HE did you know. Oh. and by the way, it's TRUE. They put my child on RITALIN for LEARNING DISABILITY.

No, Union County schools and the County all together cannot support special needs kids. It is too small and doesn't have the tax base to support special needs kids. I have noticed a pattern with the elementary teachers suggesting medical testing for kids that are just being kids. Maybe there's a kickback somewhere from drug programs? Maybe some teachers should just retire, if their heart isn't in it anymore. Those with special needs kids, God give you strength, but be careful not to blame Union County schools for what life has dealt you.

Check into the states (IN) voucher program it may assist you with easing the burden of finances to move your child to a private school that possibly may be better equiped...... Also even without special needs as long as we have no child left behind or standardized testing teachers will be forced to teach to pass the test not to give individual attention mind you I have no kids andim not affiliated with the school district but good luck
