He works less and gets paid more than ever before thanks to the unlimited budget of the Indiana gaming Commission. Why would he need a second humiliation?

He shouldn't and if he does no one should vote because he lets inmates get abused by the jailer's and don't even do anything about it. Yes they are in jail for a crime but they don't have to be treated like a animal. I think the jailers need to be in jail for abuse.

He got beat by his own deputy 2 to 1 in the primary. He has the record for defeat of an incumbent Sheriff in Indiana. He surely got the message he is not wanted.

I am surprise the Gaming Commission hires people like that but oh well their a bunch of crooks anyway.

He told them in the Liberty Bell he was going to run. Some walked away laughing.

i've had to deal with donna a few times and i don't wish the misfortune on anyone else. Wasn't Steve Leverton the guy who slammed another cop's leg in the cruiser door, or am I just mistaken?

Leverton is a prick and always has been. The State Police that he worked with were glad when he retired. His own brother hasn't spoken to him in years.

He couldn't ever get elected. He is still living off the taxpayers, this time in a gambling joint.

I would NOT vote for that prick either! He only hears what he wants to hear and tells people what they want to hear in my opinion.

Say what you want about Leverton, but at least he would make a desision and then stand by it.It might be the wrong one,but at least he made one.
His problem is he did'nt know when to shut up.The current sheriff is afraid to make a desision because it might wind up in the paper.
When he is asked a question, all you get is that deer in the headlights look. Then he has to ask the matron or the deputies what should be done.

Eric is a nice guy, but he is neither a scholar or leader. He has always been that way. He will be like Charlie Marcum, people will vote for him again not based on what he has done, but what he hasnt done. He hasnt made any big mistakes, kept his nose clean, etc...... no news is good news around here I guess. Leverton had all the experience and background, but is about as personable and likable as a steaming pile of horse crap. He was the exact opposite of Eric, he made decisions - but even if they were wrong he would not acknowledge them. He never got ANY input from anyone else because he knows MORE than anyone else...just ask him. I live near Brownsville and rely on my own protection, a Remington 12 ga. propped by the door and a 357 in the night stand.

I completly agree with your comments and your mode of protection, but with that being said, which one would you want to protect you and your family? Its almost like which is the lesser of 2 evils

Steve has already announced he's running. The people in UC made the mistake once (electing him), why the hell make it again?? Just more bad press for UC and make it look like even more of a joke in all the surrounding newspapers. Maybe he should get off his high-horse and quit thinking that he's a living god and a 'gift' to anyone around him.

Daily Horoscope for December 21

Libra

You've been quite a gadabout in recent weeks, but as the Sun enters Capricorn at the Solstice, you start to yearn for the comforts of home. You might even be tempted to cancel some forthcoming social events, so you can flop on your sofa and catch your breath. Sentimental thoughts could steal over you in coming weeks, making you think about some of the people you used to know and love.
