All of this may be true but....He spends money to put an ad in the Herald that says to call him to pick up your car for an oil change. Our car needed an oil change so I said to my wife, call him while you are at work and get it changed. When she called, he told her that he couldn't do it. There are lots of ladies that work in town and I can't be the only lazy husband. Seems like follow thru may be a problem.

I took the ad to mean that you could make arrangements to have your car picked up. Didn't think it was an "on demand" service like a taxi. It's reasonable to assume Mr. Pollitt doesn't have a fleet of personnel ready to go pick up vehicles. I think it's great that he offers the service. But you have to take into consideration that sometimes he is going to be busy!

He said he doesn't want to do it. Didn't offer to do it the next day or next week. Just said no.

I'll guaran-damn-tee that follow through is not in Hears and idea's repertoire. If it was, he'd follow up this problem with Mr. Pollitt vis-a-vis instead of crying on here about it.

I did follow through. I took her car to walmart in Oxford. I plan to give him another try next time. I agree...maybe he was having a bad day. It just pisses me off when someone says they are going to do something and they don't. The world that we live in today, nobody does what they say they are going to do.

I used to take my car to Wal-Mart till I found out that they don't do all the services that they check off as doing. I had one new tire on my car and three old ones. If you look on the sheet they give you, you will see where they check the tread on your tires. They checked mine and all four were the same. This made me wonder if they even changed the oil. Never again....I now take it to Randy and I know he does a great job.

IF you call Pollitt's to get things done you need to give them a call at 9 when he opens up, not at 4 and think that they should be there get the thing done and then run right bac. I bet the majority of the time they have appoinments and have to get these appointments in before all the rest. So here's a thought give them a call a day or so ahead and then let them do the business. They treat you right, they always do. Randy is an excellent business man and wants to do right by every customer. They are good people just trying to make a living like everyone else.

randy used to work with me at visteon as my material handler for the area i supervised. he always came in early and got things set up before he went on the clock and before we started production to make sure we could start on time. if i asked him to go a little out of his way to help me out with something he never refused. great guy, great worker. i need to stop changning my own oil and take it down to his shop just to show my support for his buisness.

Who said anything about Four? His ad didn't say to call at 9, it said he will pick it up at your work. When she called, he said no. Not no, maybe tomorrow. Not no, we are busy today. Just no. I never said he doesn't do a good job or anything bad about him. I just think that if you say you will do something, you should do it.

Is it really that hard to believe? She called and he said no. He offered nothing else. I am not bad mouthing anyone, you are. All I said was that he should'nt waste money on ads in the paper if he doesn't want to pick up cars and change their oil. I actually think that he could do a lot of business changing oil in town if he pick up cars while you are at work and brings them back. How convienent. When she called, he simply said no. Not convienent. I am for small business and for shopping in liberty. I hope his business is succesful and he makes lots of money and also shops in liberty, but, he wont if he says no on the phone when you call for a pick up.

Well, I went in there on Tuesday, without an appointment, and ask if they could change out 2 tires for me, the price was fair, and the service was quick.

I think this guy and his wife are just whiney people. This guy gave up changing his own oil when it took him 3 hours to add new oil. He was trying to use the dipstick hole to refill. QUIT THINKIN WITH YOUR DIPSTICK, DIPSTICK!.
