oh you poor soul. you should just move to a differnt town before you decide to rent there...move now before its too late. get away from that town. do not rent there. It's like the movie deliverance in that town. everyone gossips and everyone is narrow and really just dumb to society. their ways are so backwards and cult like. it is stepping back in to time. just go. do not get caught up in that crappish town. you will rot there and become just like them.

I just read this thread. If you are looking for the best area near Liberty, Oxford, OH is great. Otherwise, Richmond is the next best choice. Both Oxford and Richmond have culture, but Oxford has more in my opinion. Richmond has more choices economically/cost of living wise, and more choices for things like shopping and places to eat. It's really what you are looking for. I have to agree with the above comments though, Liberty is pretty much a poor choice if you are just moving to this area. Just my two cents...but, rent where you feel comfortable. It's your life, not ours. Do what you think is best for you.

Large farmhouse for rent between Liberty and Brookville. Very close to Bath Indiana on Hetrick Rd. Considered Brookville but is Union County Schools. Its a three or four bedroom on several acres of farmland. Farmer rents land and does use barns. Look up College Property Management in Oxford Ohio if interested.

The house on Hetrick road is $800 or $850 monthly. Also heard from a few people that it's a difficult place to reside in because they have extremely high expectations of their tenants. One statement claimed that they request that the yard be mowed with a diamond pattern. ie one way one week another direction the following week. Not sure if this is true but you may want to look into it and find out what the landlord expects of the tentants. ;] Also heard it's a very nice home and worth the monthly leasing fee!

College Property Management are a pretty good company that manages the property. Rented another farm house from them for years. The actual owner lives in Alaska and owns several farms in the area. They pretty much left us alone unless we needed something major fixed. They did like us to do any small fixes ourself and they would reimburse us. If your handy. The only thing I didnt like was having the farmer always around. Pretty nice though and will let you ride horses. So as long as your a good tenant this place is pretty much like having your own home.

At $800+ a month, you should BUY a home. I'm only 29 and my house is already paid for. Took me 11 years but I did it. I can't imagine having thrown all that money in the toilet paying off someone else's mortgage.
