You think the citizens could sue them for breech of contract or something? Be nice to have that money to invest in our future, not the mayor pockets!

There has been no financial gains for our community in the form of employment or the purchase of goods and services in almost 4 years. It is time to cut bait on Carbon.

Unfortunately the greatest value of the old building is probably as scrap metal.

From day one I called BS on Carbon Motors . Isn't there enough auto bailouts ? Enough corporations that feed solely off the gov ? You want a real car ? Guy Black has the best idea for city transportation . The CityCat . It runs on compressed air . A complete factory start up kit is about $200,000. The Smart Car sold . The Pinto sold . The Monte Carlo sold . The Edsel sold . The Pacer sold . If you make it they will buy it . You don't really have to sell stock , just get enough grassroots small investors . 1000 people fronting just $200.00 each can do it . 890 lost their jobs at Visteon . 59 more from KMart . Now the building belongs to the city . I'm sure a deal to lease could be reached . Urban offered a 25 year tax abatement to CMC . If you people are serious about jobs , why not create your own ? Would it qualify for gov backing like the C7 ? maybe so maybe no . But 200k be a lot easier to get than 400mil . AND the car can be resold to anyone . Has anyone even bothered to look into it ?

Two Cents; You are a moron!
A pedal car couldn't be started-up for $200K!
Why didn't you contact the governor and tell him you knew it wouldn't fly? Remember the state was involved just as heavily as Connersville/Fayette County. You are just another one of the I told you so morons that come out after the fact!

Carbon motors has been quite successfull since they have survived for 10+ years selling nothing more than T-shirts. They are the modern day version of the carpetbagger.

The connersville plant amounts to nothing more than a free advertising/PR facility that they now globally show as their "Facility" to all the foreign suckers they are smoozing.

In the end the best thing that can happen is we retake the visteon building sell it off to the first guy that has cash in hand.

Have they truly made it official? If so I don't see them going out to Cali. They will head to West Virginia and find a new fishing hole full of suckers willing to buy into a dream purpose built to legally rip them off.

Just for laughs here's a piece from the CM website concerning their latest product that only exists on paper, the CT7:

An undisclosed Silicon Valley law enforcement agency has agreed to join the beta test with numerous others in the queue under consideration.

They are nothing if not shameless.
