Go to Regional. They are by far the best and have the best facility and doctors.

I had my daughter at Regional last October. The nurses were amazing and the doctor who gave me my epidural was great. I had no complaints.

I had my daughter at general. They were amazing followed my birthing plan down to the tee. I recommended general just because accidents and complications happen and I would rather my baby be at the place equipped for neonatal care than having to be transferred due to the lack of proper care units. I will be having my new arrival there as well, and the newly remodeled women's clinic is beautiful its like having your baby at home the stress free environment its gorgeous.

I've been to both. Regional pamers you and I felt general had so many.patients they just rush in and out.....I would choose regional most definitey!!

I had mine at General. The nurses do seem so busy there they and do not spend much time in the room while in labor. I did not like the fact they do not allow spouses to stay in the room while the epidural is placed. Does Regional allow spouses to stay in the room when epidural is being put in?

No hospital allows anyone in the room while a procedure like this being done. Its consideren a high risk procedure and it's considered a distraction to the patient and anesthesiologist. Its actually a federal HIPPA law.

Actually most hospitals do allow the spouse to stay in the room. I know Vanderbilt does and another hospital in Nashville does.

Definately Regional! I was high risk & had to have surgery after birth. Took very good care of me & my daughter. Also offered my husband & mom to stay in the room while epidural was being administered. I opted for them to leave & let me do it alone. Also did not have to wait til I was about ready to give birth to get my epidural. Gave mine as soon as I was admitted & they go my IV started. Highly recommend regional.

I just had my son last week at Regional and yes my husband was in the room when my epidural was given. They just won't allow the spouse to be on the side that they are doin the procedure due to it being a "sterile" area. So he sat facing me .

Dr, Williams at the Reginal Woman's Center is a God send!!!! He is very caring of all his patents. He doesn't treat you like a job he treats you like a mom to be ought to be treated, first time around or 2nd. He is an awesome gynecologist too. And I love the Reginal Hospital too they treat you like a person not a cow being herded through.

Dr. Micetich at regional women's center, with dr Williams, is awesome!!!! I love him! He's very hard to get into to see.. But the other doctos he works with in his office are great too.

Also yes, regional allows your support person to stay in the room during the epidural. My husband was never asked to leave for anything. He got to experience everything with me, just like we wanted.
