Let me just say that I have never been so humiliated and shocked in my life. My girlfriend and I was standing and enjoying the morning service when a gentleman approached me and stated, "Is that your child? How old is he? I would like to talk to you in the hallway." We went in the hall and he stated that the rule was that if your not in the 5th grade, kids are not allowed in the adult worship session. I proceeded to tell him that my child wanted to stay with us. He said, "Im sorry that is the rules." I told him I did not agree with this nor did I like it. He took me to another gentleman standing with two others. I ask what was the reason for this rule. He stated, "not everything in the bible should smaller kids hear. I asked for an example and he stated, "HOMOSEXUAL Stuff". I told him that I wanted my kids to be educated on what the bible has to offer. He proceeded to tell me that, "If you arent able to follow this rule, there will be several rules down the road that you probably wouldn't obey either and that I should probbably find another church where I would be happier. I told him ok and we would leave. I went back into the service and asked my girlfriend and four kids and two friends that have been faithful on comming to church their since October 2011. And also my son who got baptized on January 1, 2012. We all got up and honest to GOD, we were escorted out of the church and the entire time was being watched by the same three gentleman that I was speaking with. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED IN SUCH A MANNER AS THIS IN ALL THE CHURCHES THAT I HAVE ATTENDED IN MY PAST 40 YEARS OF GOING. I simply as that everyone please be careful as to this cult acting activity. We enjoyed the church and Preacher, however the rules are 100% CRAZY!!!!!!!!..BODY GUARDS 24/7, ALSO TO THE DR. OFFICE VISITS WITH PASTOR REALLY......I DONT THINK THIS KIND OF ACTIVITY IS NOT HEALTHY OR POSITIVE TOWARD MY LORD. GOD LET THIS BE IN YOUR HANDS BECAUSE I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THIS.

I hear ya loud and clear...We left this church for that and so many crazy rules that you have to sign when you are asked to work in the church. It reminds me of David Koresh.

These folks need to read the book "Un-Christian", this group are a prime examples of what it is to NOT be a christian.

Christianity isn't about rules, its about LOVE, Caring and Compassion.

Find a real Christian church.

I already posted a comment in the Greensboro forum where you have started and identical thread, but I though of something I wanted to ask. You say that you had been a regular attender and that you enjoyed the worship and teaching. Then one day you are told that you can not have you children under 6th grade in the main area and you state that you then decided to leave the church as a result. Then at the end of your post you begin typing in all CAPS about bodyguards and doctor visits and saying the church is a cult? Yet had you not been asked to leave that day I assume you would have continued to attend? I do not understand that logic. You say this was your regular place of worship, then one day you have a disagreement and not the place is full of "Cult" activity. It just seems odd to me.

This church is a great church. I have been going for years. Come check it out, ask the people who attend. God has blessed this ministry with an incredible facility. The ministry has gone global with tv, radio, books, in just a few years. They have hired a staff of 26 people. blessing the local economy. Pastor David teaches the Bible, honestly, humorously, verse by verse, has several books and songs on iTunes. The church has a home for the homeless called the Bridge House. I could go on and on but you see this is a great church. Come check it out.

Jason makes a great point. You said you attended on a regular basis for years but you didn't know about the policy concerning children under 12 in the sanctuary? That doesn't make sense...sad

I haven't been able to attend the Bridge, but I love listening online at and . David's daily email devotion is always powerful too -- succinct, scriptural, and easily applicable! Blessings and Happy Easter!

What was it Jesus said about not stopping children from coming to him? Seems this church needs to focus on Christ instead of its status. My friend I do not know where you live but I can assure that you and your CHILDREN are welcome at New Vision Baptist Worship Center on Hampton Rd in Clemmons. Small congregation with no judgements. Pastor don't even wear a Jeans are a common site on Sunday morning. There is a children's service but they don't have to attend. My grandson usually does because of the games and such. But many kids sit in the regular service. The teachings of Jesus Christ are followed not Church doctrine. We are not your typical Baptist Church. I think you would like it.
